Republicans in Congress can join Democrats right now to turn off the bogus emergency Trump has declared to impose worldwide tariffs. Or they can continue to bend the knee to Trump.
Trump and Republicans can lie about their plan to cut taxes for the rich, but votes don’t lie. We asked them: will you rule out tax cuts for those making over $1 billion? Republicans voted no. So we tried no tax cuts for $1 billion companies like Amazon? No. That says it all.
Tonight, we forced Republicans to take a simple vote: Can we all agree that billionaire corporations like Amazon and Tesla - who take home over $1 billion in sheer profit a year - shouldn't get another tax handout? Republicans said no.
As markets melt down around the world, Congress could act right now to prevent an economic collapse before markets open on Monday. The only thing standing in the way is a few spineless Republicans.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are doing everything they can to make it harder for seniors to get their Social Security benefits. It's just plain ugly. I’m fighting back.
Donald Trump’s massive new tariffs mean higher prices and more chaos at the expense of American families—just to help pay for tax handouts to billionaires and big corporations. Let me explain:
Donald Trump claims he’s returning education back to local communities. But in reality, he’s threatening to take money away from your public schools. This is outrageous and will do nothing but hurt students.
Public education changes lives — but right now, Donald Trump and Elon Musk are going after your public schools. I asked people to share stories about public school teachers that made a difference in their lives. Today, I read some of those stories on the Senate floor.

Just heard DOGE/Musk are cutting half of the staff at the Social Security offices in Alexandria. 40% of the staff in Rochester. It’ll make it a lot harder for seniors to get help when they run into issues, which might be exactly what they want.
Senate Republicans will do anything to give tax handouts to billionaires and billionaire corporations, even using fake math. Repealing math doesn’t repeal reality. Here's the truth: Republicans’ tax cuts will cost $7 trillion and cut programs that help working families.

🚨UPDATE: Rümeysa Öztürk has now suffered three separate asthma attacks while in DHS custody. She has not received her required asthma medications—a violation of her fundamental right to medical care. This is cruelty, it is neglect, and it is a damning moral and legal failure.
Pressley, Warren, Markey Sound Alarm on Rümeysa Öztürk’s Medical Neglect, Renew Urgent Calls for Her Release (1/2):

“It is unconscionable that Rümeysa Öztürk—a young woman pursuing her education, exercising her First Amendment rights, and contributing to her community—remains detained by DHS. Her ongoing incarceration is not only a blatant violation of her constitutional rights to due process and free speech, but it is now an egregious denial of her fundamental right to medical care.
Pressley, Warren, Markey Sound Alarm on Rümeysa Öztürk’s Medical Neglect, Renew Urgent Calls for Her Release (2/2):

“According to her lawyer, Rümeysa has not received her required asthma medications and has now suffered three separate asthma attacks while in custody. This is cruelty, it is neglect, and it is a damning moral and legal failure.

“As her representatives in Congress, we demand DHS immediately provide Rümeysa with access to the health care she needs, and absent compelling evidence justifying her detention and the revocation of her status, we call for Ozturk’s release and the restoration of her visa. Every minute she remains in custody is another minute her health and rights are at risk, and DHS must move with urgency.”
This week, my Somerville constituent Rümeysa Öztürk was abducted in broad daylight by DHS officials and sent to Louisiana to be locked in a detention center. She has not been charged with any crime.
A graphic that reads Free Rümeysa Öztürk with a photo of her.
President Trump campaigned on lowering credit card costs, but his DOJ just cleared the way for an anti-competitive merger that would create America's largest credit card company. We know how this ends: big payouts for executives, higher costs for consumers and small businesses.
Public schools change students’ lives every single day, but Donald Trump is trying to dismantle our public education system. I asked, and you shared. Here are a few stories about America’s incredible public school teachers.
Our stories are our power – so share yours today. Public education has touched millions of Americans, and we’ve got to do everything we can to save it. www.warren.senate.gov/save-our-sch...
Today, I’m launching Save Our Schools – a campaign to bring people together and push back against Donald Trump's attacks on public education. We're fighting for an America where it's not just the kids of billionaires who get a good education, but every kid in every community.
DOGE is firing Social Security workers, closing offices, and pulling the plug on phone services, and it's hurting seniors like Ned. There’s nothing efficient about any of this — and it needs to stop.
