A great time at our 3rd annual Preschool and Popsicles event.
We helped families register their kids for preschool and connected them with local resources.
Looking forward to next year. 🙏 💙

Whoever leads the Federal Bureau of Prisons should be confirmed by Congress.
Our bipartisan bill would require this new level of accountability.

Their budget bill is core to what’s broken with our economy – taking over a trillion dollars from the healthcare system to pay for trillions in tax cuts to billionaires and big corporate investors.

We are in an incredibly critical moment with our national security and in global negotiations.
Firing experienced national security staff is so irresponsible and dangerous.
The path to peace requires people doing the hard work to make it happen.
While we cannot go into every detail, we are working to ensure Ayman receives due process, are pushing for him to be treated fairly, and are doing everything we can to keep him here at home.
We have secured a commitment that Ayman will be able to stay in Ohio for the time being – prior to his next appearances before the immigration court.
We expect this to be a long process that he and his attorneys will be navigating.
At every step of the way – before he was detained, afterward, and going forward – we have been and will continue working hand in hand with his legal team.
We have been working on Ayman’s case for months – well before this became public.
An update on Ayman’s case:
We spoke at length today with ICE officials – making the case for why Ayman deserves to remain in our community.

We can’t fight waste, fraud, and abuse by gutting the one agency most responsible for uncovering it.
103 colleagues joined me in calling Speaker Johnson and Chairman Cole to reverse the proposed 50% cuts to GAO’s budget.
This administration is actively withholding funding for HIV prevention services across Ohio.
We led a letter with @repbeatty.bsky.social and @repemiliasykes.bsky.social calling on Secretary Kennedy to release the grant funds immediately.
These delays are hurting folks who rely on their care.
We are working with his lawyer and federal officials – and are fighting to ensure he gets the due process he is entitled to.
Deporting him would not make us any safer, but it would be a huge loss for our community.
According to everyone we’ve spoken to, Ayman plays a unique and critical role – one that is difficult, if not impossible, to replace.
One family told me, “His prayers, his presence, and his kindness transcended any
differences…He brought such peace and comfort in a time of overwhelming fear.”
Ayman Soliman was granted asylum in the United States and has spent years serving children and their families as the only Muslim chaplain at one of the best children’s hospitals in America.

We need to lower costs in this country – and people deserve to know there’s a better path forward, one that invests in workers, families, farmers, & small businesses.
Hardworking Americans should earn enough to cover their bills and still have something left over.

We toured the FDA’s Forensic Chemistry Center – the only one of its kind — right here in Southwest Ohio, and saw the work they're doing to tackle the opioid crisis.
We're fighting to make sure they have the funding they need to continue this important work.
