What’s that old saying? A donut a day keeps the doctor away? 🍩🤭 In all seriousness, an immense, heartfelt thank you to everyone for the well wishes, and a special thanks to my incredible care team at George Washington University Hospital.

A NOTE FROM SENATOR SMITH'S STAFF -- While at work at the Capitol today, Sen. Smith started to not feel well. She went to the Capitol physician who recommended she undergo more thorough examination at GW hospital.

Unbelievable. Just days after the tragic flooding in Texas, NOAA is demanding that public TV stations remove equipment from towers that is critical for these stations to send weather alerts. Trump’s ideological crusade against public broadcasting will cost lives.
Subject: Stop-Work Order for 1305M220CNWWR0059: NOAA Weather and All-Hazards Radio
Maintenance
Pursuant to FAR 52.242-15 Stop-Work Order (AUG 1989), effective immediately, the U.S. Department
of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Western Acquisition
Division is hereby issuing a stop-work order for NOAA Weather and All-Hazards Radio Maintenance.
This stop-work order is issued in accordance with implementation of Executive Order 14222.
You are hereby directed, effective by close of business day on July 13, 2025, to cease services or
materials related to these positions on the subject contract, to direct any subcontractors to comply with
the contents of this stop-work order if/where applicable, and to otherwise minimize costs to the
maximum extent practicable. This stop-work order shall remain in effect until you are notified otherwise

During the period of the stop-work order, please contact
with any questions regarding the contents of this notice.
Sincerely.

From lifesaving weather and news alerts to educational programming for children, public broadcasting keeps our communities safe and informed. That’s what President Trump wants to take away from Americans.
Let’s not forget that the prosecutor who gave Epstein a secret sweetheart deal back in 2007 — allowing Epstein to continue assaulting girls — was rewarded by Trump with a cabinet spot. Alex Acosta gave Epstein immunity.
America is literally burning a million pounds of food at taxpayer expense so Trump doesn’t have to give it to hungry kids across the world.
Tweet from Jonathan Lemire:

The Trump administration has given the order to incinerate food instead of sending it to people abroad who need it

Nearly 500 metric tons of emergency food-enough to feed about 1.5 million children for a week- are set to expire
Trump’s going to fire Jay Powell but also he isn’t going to fire Jay Powell… The same way the Epstein files were real, but now they’re not, even though they were on Pam Bondi’s desk…
Yeah he's spiraling
REPORTER: Did the attorney general tell you that your name appeared in the Epstein files? TRUMP: No no. She's given us just a very quick briefing. These files were made up by Comey, Obama, they were made up by the Biden-- we went through years of that with the Russia Russia Russia hoax
