I was proud to join University of Redlands President Newkirk at the Annual National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities Meeting to talk about the importance of higher education and the role it plays for communities like the Inland Empire and nationwide.
It’s important that law enforcement has the tools and resources it needs to keep us safe and respond to emergencies. I was proud to secure over $1 million in community project funding for the Rialto Police Department to better monitor and respond to incidents in our community.
Donald Trump and Kristi Noem’s ICE is out of control. Immigration agents are killing U.S. citizens, terrorizing communities, and detaining children. We must put an end to this brutality. Democrats are united: reform ICE & remove Noem. We won’t stop fighting until that happens.
While working Americans are being crushed by the Republican affordability crisis, Trump and Republicans continue to be focused on all of the wrong things. House Democrats will keep fighting to bring down costs and focus on the issues you care about.
Our community thrives when people feel safe and have peace of mind. I was proud to deliver more than $1 million in community project funding for the San Bernardino Police Department’s Mobile Crime Prevention Program to help prevent and reduce crime in the Inland Empire.
Sec. Kristi Noem's Department of Homeland Security is out of control and endangering lives. @repmarktakano.bsky.social and @repraulruizmd.bsky.social & I held a press conference in front of the ICE office in San Bernardino to demand the removal of Kristi Noem and serious reforms at the agency.
I’m thankful my friend Ilhan Omar is safe after being attacked at her town hall. The person responsible must be fully prosecuted. Political tensions are at an all time high, yet Trump continues his hateful comments toward her. Enough. This must be condemned by everyone.
I held a press conference at the Unicare Community Health Center in San Bernardino to highlight the impacts of the Republican health care crisis on the Inland Empire and to call on Trump and Senate Republicans to immediately restore the expired Affordable Care Act tax credits.
DHS is completely out of control and lawless agents are brutalizing communities across the country. The cruelty and chaos coming out of this Administration are nothing short of dangerous and deadly. Kristi Noem must resign or be fired.
Today Americans across the country watched ICE agents assault and kill a nurse, Alex Pretti. DHS is lying about what happened and wants you to look away. Don’t.
Donald Trump and Kristi Noem’s out of control ICE agents have killed ANOTHER American citizen.  These violent and untrained officers are endangering our communities.  Local authorities must investigate and fully prosecute those responsible for this heinous crime.
Things Trump has done one year into his second term: ✅Caused prices to skyrocket ✅Cut nearly $715 billion from Medicaid ✅Caused the longest government shutdown in U.S. history ❌Made life more affordable for working families
One year into Trump’s presidency, America is more expensive and less safe. You deserve better. @housedemocrats.bsky.social will keep fighting to bring down costs and make life better for working families.
Dr. King taught us that progress is made when we come together and act with courage and compassion. On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we are given a chance to reflect upon Dr. King’s legacy as a living call to action and recommit to building a more just and equal nation for all.
