Today, we honor our veterans for Veterans Day. But last night, Senate Republicans passed a spending bill that fails to extend the tax credits that help lower health costs for millions of Americans, including more than half a million veterans.
Veterans deserve our support. To find resources for your needs or to access the benefits you earned, please see above to help you get connected. If you require assistance connecting with a federal agency or have questions, call my office at 310-831-1799.
These tax credits are a lifeline. Hardworking Americans deserve a bill that works for them. They deserve affordable care. @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social will continue our fight until the last vote is counted on the House floor. I will NOT support this bill.
The fight to lower healthcare costs for Americans continues, with the same level of commitment and fight that Americans deserve. The Senate bill fails to meet the moment to bring costs down to ensure affordable health care for all Americans.
Cruelty IS the point. Trump’s weaponized hunger so the Trump/Republican shutdown can continue. @HouseDemocrats.bsky.social will keep fighting to reopen the government and make sure Americans receive their full SNAP benefits — no government should rip food out of the mouths of hardworking Americans.
Trump Admin goes to Supreme Court for sign off to make Americans go hungry, while: Trump returns to Mar-a-Lago to golf and party. House Republicans are on week 6 of their vacation. Senate Republicans refuse to address health care crisis.
Spoke with a constituent from #LongBeach today — she told me that her health care premiums will rise from $383 to $999 per month. Hardworking Americans should not have to shell out nearly a thousand dollars a month out of pocket to pay for health care.
