We can’t afford Trump’s tariffs — a tax on the American people that is skyrocketing our cost of living.
@repscfigures.bsky.social joined me at the Port of LA to talk about the need for smarter policies that lower costs for Americans.

House Republicans need to stop their blind support for Trump’s costly, dangerous war, and put the American people first.
Families have already paid the price for Trump’s war, which has claimed the lives of U.S. service members and thousands of Iranian civilians.
A two-week ceasefire where both sides don’t even seem to agree on the details is insufficient with a madman in the White House.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social came to the floor this morning with a motion to stop Trump’s reckless war of choice — Republicans rejected the opportunity to end the war.
We will not stop until we get a vote and put every member of the House on record.
House Democrats held a hearing in #LosAngeles on how Trump and Republicans are making it harder for you to vote.
Bills like the SAVE Act and Executive Orders to restrict mail-in voting would rob many Americans of their vote. Your voice counts, & @housedemocrats.bsky.social will fight to protect it.
The Lucy Avalos Community Center in #Lynwood is getting an upgrade!
Proud to secure $850K in federal funds to repair critical infrastructure— including floors, walls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning — so our communities can continue to have a safe space to come together.

Great to have Rep. @normajtorres.bsky.social at the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) in my district!
As America’s busiest port, POLA directly impacts districts throughout SoCal, like Rep. Torres’ Inland Empire district — a hub for warehouses and transportation of goods that come into the port.
Trump’s war of choice in Iran is hurting American families.
Rep. @normajtorres.bsky.social joined me in #SanPedro, alongside hardworking Angelenos from my district, to call out Trump’s war that has skyrocketed gas prices, taking money that people need for rent, groceries, medicine, and utilities.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social will continue to fight for funding for our emergency responders and to keep our neighborhoods safe.
Proud to support our brave firefighters at the #LosAngeles Fire Department with an $850,000 check for critical infrastructure repairs and improvements to emergency response services for Fire Station 79.
Proud to have secured federal funding to help establish the Compton Access Center. These investments into our community help create housing stability, expand access to services, and establish permanent housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Congratulations to the Homeless Outreach Program Integrated Care System (HOPICS) on the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Compton Access Center, Lemon House, and Hub City Heights!
Donald Trump: I like to hang out with losers.
American People: What a loser.
Donald Trump — you can’t erase the trans community.
Trans people are here, have always been here, and will continue to be here long after you leave the White House.
#TransDayofVisibility
On March 31st, we celebrate the farmworkers who helped shape the movement for fair pay and workers’ rights, and thank all of the workers whose labor feeds our communities.
People across the country are in the streets today to say: #NoKings.
We’re a democracy for the people, by the people. We have no kings in America. Not today. Not ever.
Republicans are putting a bill on the House floor tonight that gives ICE billions of dollars more — I’m voting NO.
The Senate passed a bipartisan bill last night that would get our workers paid and reopen DHS WITHOUT giving more money to ICE.
Bring THAT bill to the floor, Speaker Johnson.
This is how the Trump administration treats children. This cruelty needs to end.
At the Dilley Detention Facility, I met 5-year-old Gael. He was in pain and his stomach was so bloated because he hadn’t been able to go to the bathroom in over a week. ICE just gave him laxatives and dismissed any concerns. A 5-YEAR-OLD. In pain and suffering.
