Trump came in to office and immediately slashed USDA contracts that paid farmers to grow food for food banks. Then he started a trade war that’s jacking up grocery prices. And then he had Congress gut SNAP. Trump’s America leaves people hungrier, sicker and poorer.
Trump’s reckless trade policies, raids on farms, massive cuts to SNAP and overall incompetency is a far cry from a legitimate effort to secure supply chains and make the trip to the grocery store affordable for American families.
Donald Trump’s Big Bonanza for Billionaires stripped millions of federal funds away from Milwaukee that would have supported safer roads, walkability and sewer overflows. Republicans put tax goodies for the wealthy few above investments for the many.
Today is a very sad day for the American people.   Republicans have successfully orchestrated a huge transfer of wealth by gutting programs that support everyday American to further enrich the billionaire class.   Democrats will keep fighting, despite this tremendously cruel 'victory.'
House Republicans just narrowly passed Donald Trump’s billionaire tax giveaway bill that will leave millions of Americans sicker, poorer, and hungrier. They chant “USA,” but this is a cruel betrayal of the American dream.
“When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood." Isiah 1:15   Republicans have ignored the pleas of millions to protect health care and food benefits. Democrats will press on.
Thanks to Republicans, veterans, aging foster youth, and individuals experiencing homelessness could lose their SNAP benefits!! The House is poised to vote on this legislation shortly -- but I implored them to add SNAP paperwork requirement exemptions back in. gwenmoore.house.gov/news/documen...
Derrick Van Orden begging for preemptive relief from the rural Medicaid cuts he is voting for. Maybe don’t vote to cut $1 trillion from BadgerCare and you wouldn’t have to create a rural hospital fund to save yourself from a manufactured disaster.
Citing the federal Medicaid cuts Republicans are jamming through the House today, a rural Nebraska hospital is closing. Medicaid cuts don’t just impact individuals. It disrupts the entire system. I’m begging Rep Don Bacon, please vote NO. www.klkntv.com/rural-southw...
Once again, Republicans are working through the night to pass their cruel legislation to rip health care and food away from millions of Americans to give even more to the wealthiest among us. I urge all my colleagues to oppose debt, death and hunger. VOTE NO.
Republican’s Big Beautiful Bonanza for Billionaires is fiscally irresponsible and morally indefensible.   They know their math doesn't add up so they choose to demonize Medicaid and SNAP recipients to assuage what's left of their consciences.
This is Trump's economy. Jobs are vanishing—just like the promises he made to working people. And let's be clear, the tax giveaways for billionaires and corporations that Republicans are trying to jam through the house today won't make it any better. www.cnbc.com/2025/07/02/a...
