During Small Business Week, I wanted to recognize Yo Soy Unico, a bilingual daycare in Washington’s Ninth District, who won the 2025 SBA Microentrepeneur of the Year. Led by Carmen Corbin, this program out of federal way has been supporting children of all ages and backgrounds since 2013.
Happy National Small Business Week. Our local stores are the backbone of our economy, so let’s recognize their hard work, dedication, and contributions to our community.
Join my office for this year’s Protecting Yourself from Scams and Fraud Event. We’ll have a great conversation about how to identify common online, mail-in, and over the phone scam attempts to keep yourself safe. We'll be joined by expert panelists to share their insight on avoiding scams and fraud
Happy Asian Pacific American Heritage Month to everyone in Washington’s Ninth District. Throughout May, let’s recognize the importance of history, culture, and tradition amongst AANHPI communities.
Happy International Worker’s Day! As the proud son of a union worker, I’ve spent my whole life working for improved workplace benefits, fair pay, and safe labor practices, and will continue to do so until we have equal pay.
I’ve introduced legislation to provide enhanced career training and wraparound services and support the statewide task force to help high school students create strong alternative paths for their future.
