Speaker Johnson is running from the Epstein files.
Instead of keeping the government shut down to protect pedophiles, Republicans should come to the table with Democrats to lower health costs, reopen the government, & deliver justice for Epstein's victims.
Speaker Johnson, ball’s in your court.

My top priorities remain bringing the hostages home now, ending the violence once and for all, and bringing long-term peace, justice, and security to Israelis and Palestinians alike.
Often, fleeing homes and communities turned to rubble, living in fear and struggling to survive.
The human cost of this war is staggering, and it must end now.
My heart aches for those who were killed on October 7th and their loved ones who mourn their loss; for the hostages and their families who have endured an incomprehensible suffering; and for the thousands of innocent Palestinian families caught in the ensuing war that have lost those dear to them.
Two years ago, the world saw the worst perpetration of violence inflicted on the Jewish people since the Holocaust.
The ICE raids taking place in our communities and the deployment of the National Guard to Chicago are not at all about public safety. They are about political theater.
We will not let Trump get away with this. Not in Chicago. Not anywhere. Not now. Not ever.
We will not be bullied by a wannabe tyrant and his Republican lapdogs. I look forward to voting for a budget that extends health care tax credits and protects families from rising health insurance rates. Republicans know where to find us - our door is open.
The President of the United States is supposed to serve ALL Americans, but it is clear that Trump is either unwilling or unable to do so. This is money that has been appropriated by the United States Congress. The Executive Branch has no authority to intervene.
This unconstitutional action is more proof that Donald Trump and Republicans are more interested in petty political retribution than lowering health care costs for Americans.
Yom Kippur calls on us to reflect, repent, and recommit to justice.
Wishing a meaningful and easy fast to all who observe.
Let us all strive to build a more compassionate, equitable world. G’mar Chatima Tovah.
I will vote for a bipartisan bill to open the government that protects families from rising health care costs, but I will not rubber stamp a Republican proposal that continues tax breaks to their wealthy donors while families pay more to visit the doctor.
Now, they refuse to reopen the government unless they are allowed to keep throwing Americans under the bus.
Republicans have made their priorities clear: they have already ripped health care away from 17 million Americans and doomed millions more to massive increases in health insurance prices so they can give tax breaks to their wealthy donors.

The federal government has entered a shutdown.
Republicans control the entire federal government — the Presidency, the Senate, & the House.
This is an utter failure of Republican leadership — it’ll substantially impact our communities & our economy & will drive up health care costs for millions.
There are 11 hours left until the Republican-led government shutdown.
If Republicans let premium health tax credits expire, millions will face higher costs — including 26,000 people in Illinois' 9th District.
We must put people over politics. The time to act is NOW.
We are a nation of immigrants. This program is terrorizing immigrants and their families. People all across our community are demanding justice and proper oversight now.
What's going on in Chicago right now is dangerous. I joined over 65 of my colleagues in demanding answers from the Secretary of Homeland Security on how the department is using racial bias for stop and arrest decisions.
Under the Fourth Amendment, federal agents generally may not stop someone unless agents have good reason to suspect they're breaking laws, but the rogue Supreme Court has ruled that innocent people can be treated as criminals just because of the color of their skin.
ICE agents aren't being directed to protect Chicago, they're being told to use their badge to profile people of color.
The Border Patrol's "Operation At large" is racial profiling disguised as law enforcement.
