On #Juneteenth, we commemorate the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas in 1865. It’s a moment to celebrate progress, reflect on our history, and renew our commitment to equality and justice for all.

Trump should listen to the American people, who want real immigration reform—not reckless deportations that even he admits hurt the economy and deny people their constitutional rights of due process.
Trump and Republicans are targeting the Social Security benefits our seniors earned over a lifetime. The consequences would be devastating. Don’t just take my word for it—hear it from former Social Security Commissioner @martinomalley.bsky.social.👇
We’re seeing the first extreme heat warnings of the year. Cities lack resources to respond—so I introduced the Extreme Weather & Heat Response Modernization Act:
✅ FEMA grants for cooling centers & more
✅ Require planning for longer heat waves
✅ Let states declare heat emergency & get aid fast
Mass deportations that target workers, women, and children over violent criminals aren’t just cruel, they’re bad for our economy. Even President Trump has admitted this, pointing to the harm it does to industries like agriculture and hospitality—causing prices to go up for everyone.
Ted Cooke, former Central Arizona Project general manager, is a good choice to lead the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
We’re at a critical juncture for the Colorado River and I look forward to working with him in this new role.

Donald Trump doesn’t have the powers of a king, he has the powers of a president. We will take it to the courts each time he oversteps his authority. More from Politics Unplugged with Dennis Welch ⬇️
Thank you to the seniors who joined Martin O’ Malley and me for yesterday’s Social Security Town Hall. Your stories and questions matter. While the Trump Administration continues its reckless attacks on earned benefits, I’ll keep fighting in Congress to protect what you’ve worked for.
I’m honored to lead a bipartisan effort with my Arizona colleagues to rename the Tucson Federal Building in honor of the late Congressman Raúl Grijalva. He was a friend, a colleague, and a proud son of Arizona.

Veterans taking college courses online receive only half the housing allowance of those attending in person. Rep. Ciscomani and I are leading the bipartisan fight in Congress to fix this so that veterans get the full support they’ve earned no matter how they choose to learn. Repost if you support!
The GOP tax scheme would gut Medicaid and push Arizona hospitals to the brink of closure—all to hand billionaires a tax break. It’s cruelty on full display.

📢 SENIORS 📢 Join me TOMORROW for a town hall w/former Social Security Administrator Martin O’ Malley. I’ve heard from countless Arizonans worried about Trump’s reckless attacks on Social Security. So please join us for this discussion and share what’s on your mind.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who guide, support, and sacrifice for the ones they love. Today, we celebrate you.
Dallas Workman is a real American hero. A Navy fighter pilot and member of the Greatest Generation, he fought during WWII to liberate the world from tyranny.
This Flag Day—and his 101st birthday!—I had the honor of presenting him with a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol. 🇺🇸
Praying for the families of State Rep. Melissa Hortman and State Sen. John Hoffman.
Like all Americans, I’m angered that this violence is happening in our country. This cannot be normalized. apnews.com/article/minn...
Trump’s mass ICE raids aren’t about safety—they’re about fear. Instead of prioritizing violent criminals, they're grabbing anyone they can to meet Trump's quotas.

This is shameful. Senator Padilla was merely asking a question on behalf of his constituents.
The use of physical violence to silence speech from any American, not to mention an elected official, is indefensible.
Trump just admitted that his mass deportations are bad for farmers and the economy.
But if he wants to make 'changes' to our immigration system to meet Arizona's workforce needs, I'm ready to work with him!
Saddened by the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and all those impacted.
