Every day, we honor the brave men and women who serve our communities. This week, we cut the ribbon on Officer Daniel Webster Park in Albuquerque, honoring one of APD’s finest who died in 2015. We were honored to hear from APD Deputy Chief Languit about his former partner and the park’s legacy. ❤️
We are delivering for New Mexico—even as times are tough. Funding for new schools, housing, hospitals, behavioral health and addiction recovery services, public safety, and water projects. Real investments. Real people. And, real generational change.
In NM, we know the sacrifices our service members have made. That’s why they are at the heart of our work. From funding a brand-new veteran’s transitional housing center to helping pass the largest expansion of veteran’s benefits with the PACT Act since the GI bill—veterans deserve our support.
Yesterday, the NM DOJ began its investigation at Zorro Ranch. Why did the FBI tell NM to drop its case in 2019? Who asked them to do so and why?  That’s why this new investigation is so important. Survivors have waited too long for justice, and NM is leading the way.
As millions of Americans wondered how they were going to pay rent, afford food, and whether their sons and daughters would be sent off to war…this is how the President spent his weekend…unbothered, hanging out at his private resort. To my colleagues across the aisle still covering for him, wake up.
While this Admin spends nearly $1 billion a day on a war in the Middle East that has claimed the lives of 7 U.S. service members and doing the bidding of billionaires—Americans are struggling to put food on the table and a roof over their heads. But, House Dems are working for the American people!
Today—on International Women’s Day—we stand with survivors: those able to speak out and those still quietly carrying their stories alone. Know you are not alone. Together, millions are standing with you to end the silence, end the shame, and end the abuse. Together we are changing history. ❤️
Officials have detected PFAS levels above federal guidelines in at least 15 water systems across NM—including Albuquerque’s VA Hospital. While the feds under this Administration are dismantling water quality standards, NM is acting to protect our waters. Because, water is life.
On this 61st anniversary of Bloody Sunday, we are honoring the foot soldiers of the Civil Rights Movement who marched in Selma in 1965, who organized in Birmingham in 1963, who boycotted in Montgomery in 1955, and all of the generations who have continued to bend the arc of history towards justice.
Happy International Women’s Day! Today we’re celebrating the service and leadership of women who step up every day for their communities. Even as times hard, we’re here with Rep. Adelita Grijalva and NM State @repromero.bsky.social to reflect on service. ❤️
