I am incredibly concerned about the deepening humanitarian crisis in Sudan, and the atrocities committed by the Rapid Support Forces.
The United States must put pressure on the RSF and those who back it—including the United Arab Emirates—to end these atrocities.
Congress is responsible for setting tariffs. See the Constitution.
But Speaker Johnson has surrendered Congress’ power to Trump. He changed the rules to prevent votes in the House on tariffs—a tax on families—because he knows even Republicans don’t like Trump’s costly trade policy.
As Trump’s tariffs vex Republicans, some hope for a Supreme Court rescue

If the admin wanted results rather than spectacle, they would’ve coordinated with Mexico to seize the boat and alleged smugglers so we could interrogate them and dismantle their networks.
The Trump admin is expanding its campaign of extrajudicial killings—this time, off the coast of Mexico.

Trump and Republicans need to end their shutdown and make life more affordable for families in Texas and across the country.
Donald Trump left the country.
His press secretary says his main focus is tearing down the White to build a ballroom.
Meanwhile, Congressional Republicans refuse to reopen the government.
So 42 million people are about to lose SNAP benefits that keep food on the table.
People are being harassed and arrested because of the color of their skin.
Trump’s masked agents are operating without warrants, without probable cause—just discrimination. It's un-American and must end.
This month, I’ve heard from many of you concerned about healthcare premiums increasing and the impacts of the government shutdown.
I regularly write to update folks on what is happening in Congress and how I am fighting for San Antonians. Sign up below to join the conversation. tr.ee/blewmG

Trump is more focused on his $200 million ballroom and bailing out Argentina than he is on re-opening the American government.

Why won’t Speaker Johnson swear in Rep. Adelita Grijalva? Because she is the last signature needed to force a vote on releasing the full Epstein files.

That’s why I—and so many Democrats—are fighting so hard to protect healthcare subsidies for millions of Americans.
Thank you to Association of American Cancer Institutes (AACI) for the kind recognition of my work.
Here’s my story.
This morning I shared my story about finding out I had cancer.
As a cancer patient, I know treatment is expensive. For many Americans, having health insurance is the difference between life and death.

I offered an amendment at a recent @houseforeign.bsky.social committee meeting to require a report on ties between Bukele and MS-13, a brutal gang.
Every Republican voted NO, participating in the coverup.
The Trump Administration made a deal with El Salvador that threatened years of U.S. law enforcement work to fight MS-13 so they could send people to CECOT—one of the most inhumane prisons in the world.
Today San Antonio ushers in a new beginning with the grand opening of El Museo del Westside. It will help tell the Latino story—rejecting stereotypes and defining our community by our contributions to the history, culture and prosperity of our country.

Masked ICE agents are assaulting and arresting American citizens while Trump and Stephen Miller applaud.
We have to keep pushing back against their attacks on our rights.
Despite what the president and governor might believe, Trump is not king. This is the UNITED States of America. Deploying Texas troops is undermining our civil liberties and states’ rights.

As Texans, we urge Governor Abbott to keep the Texas National Guard where it belongs—in Texas.
