I was proud to bring together climate industry leaders, advocates, and community voices to discuss how we can tackle rising energy costs and transition to cleaner, more reliable energy.
The SNAP cuts that are coming are massive, and by slashing programs so many Americans rely on, this Administration is sending a clear message: you are not the priority. I remain committed to repealing the harmful impacts of this bill.
The impacts of climate change are already here, and American families are feeling them. That's why I led 16 House Democrats in urging real estate industry leaders to ensure homebuyers have clear information about the climate risk associated with their homes.
Of the more than 2 million voting-eligible U.S. citizens living overseas, only 11% vote. This highlights a deeper bureaucratic issue, one that my Military VOTE Act addresses, to ensure all Americans have full access to the ballot.
Need a new passport for upcoming travel plans this summer? My office can help. Whether your application is taking longer than expected or you need your passport expedited, we’re here to help.
For too long, US energy policy has put producers first and focused on keeping energy prices high. The Energy Bills Relief Act is different. This bill bridges the gap between energy consumers and energy producers to deliver the most affordable and reliable energy to the public.
Americans across the country want expanded access to clean energy. Not because they are woke. But because they want to save money. That’s what clean energy helps us do.
Our service members defend our democracy abroad; they shouldn't have to fight to participate in it at home. That's why I’ve introduced legislation to make the ballot more accessible to the men and women who bravely defend this country.
The Lincoln Park Zoo fosters connections between people and wildlife, and advances conservation efforts for our native ecosystem. During my recent visit, I enjoyed learning about preserving native species and why it’s critical to keep local wildlife in their natural environments.
Happy Independent Bookstore Day! I recently visited two independent bookstores in our district, Swallow Stories Bookshop and Noble Capybara Bookstore and Gift Shop. We’re fortunate to have local bookstores in our community that foster a lifelong love of reading.
The Field Museum is a leader in scientific research and environmental conservation. I joined the staff and Julian Siggers, the Field Museum’s president and CEO, for a tour and discussion to learn about their groundbreaking research and the importance of communicating science to the public.
I was so proud to honor Maclane Zich, the winner of the Congressional App Challenge for the 6th District. His app, HeadacheWise, is a tracking and analytics app focused on improving and tracking headache relief.
Earlier this month, I joined Lyons Township and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago for a discussion about flood mitigation and wastewater management.
I recently visited SEASPAR programs at the Lisle Park District and Darien Sportsplex. I learned about SEASPAR’s programming and toured the Wonders Multi-Sensory Room, which contains multisensory technology to help participants with autism.
Metropolitan Family Services serves over 200,000 families in Chicagoland every year. I toured their Southwest Center in Palos Hills, which focuses on economic stability, education, emotional wellness, and empowerment.
This Earth Day, I’m committed to working on behalf of the American people to lower energy bills, crack down on price gouging, and reinstate energy improvements reversed by this harmful administration so we can reduce pollution and have a very happy Earth Day next year.
