The WIC Program provides nutrition resources, referrals to medical care, and food benefits at no-cost to eligible families in DuPage County. I recently toured and met with staff at the DuPage County Health Department to learn about the important resources they can provide to our community.
The Supreme Court’s “shadow docket” was never meant to be used to issue fast, often unexplained rulings without full briefing or argument. This is a fixable problem, one I’ve already drafted legislation to bring transparency and accountability to the Court. Now it’s time to bring it to the floor.
This National Library Week, I’m proud to celebrate the vital role our libraries play in strengthening our communities. I recently visited Prairie Trails and Tinley Park libraries in IL-06, where I heard directly from staff about the incredible work they do to educate our community every day.
Last week, I checked out the Evergreen Park Urban Barn with Mayor Kelly Burke. I enjoyed learning about their environmental initiatives and educational programming for students and families in our community.
As a member of Congress, I am privileged to nominate qualified students to attend the U.S. Military Academy (West Point), the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. This year I nominated 23 well-deserving students.
During the recent District Work Period, I enjoyed visiting, listening, and engaging directly with our community. I’m back in DC now, ready to ensure that all of the concerns I heard from you all are voiced in Congress.
We need to provide consumers with access to the lowest-cost, most efficient, and most reliable forms of energy. It’s a happy coincidence that this is synonymous with the cleanest forms of energy.
This week, I hosted a roundtable discussion with various senior citizen advocacy groups to discuss senior scams and fraud prevention, social security and retirement, as well as other challenges that seniors face.
Meet Linda, my latest Constituent Spotlight honoree. Linda volunteers with the West Suburban Humane Society, where she cares for homeless animals, educates the public, and helps prepare dogs for their new adoptive homes. Through her dedication, she provides an incredible service to our community.
From fighting back against harmful actions by the Trump Administration and introducing meaningful legislation to recognizing a historic site right here in IL-06, here’s what I’ve been up to recently.
My STEM Scholars Program application deadline is just one week away! Don’t miss your opportunity to take part in a meaningful summer experience that helps shape your future career in STEM.
This week, I visited St. Cletus Parish Food Pantry to meet with the dedicated staff and volunteers preparing for distribution. Seeing their work firsthand is a powerful reminder of how vital these services are.
Despite signing the largest cut to health care in history just last year, the president wants to enact even further cuts to pay for his war. The president does not care about what is best for the American people.
The deadline for my Congressional Art Competition is quickly approaching! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have your artwork displayed in our nation's Capitol. Head over to my website for details on the application.
I was proud to secure $250,000 in federal funding for the Village of Crestwood to support a critical water main replacement for IL-06 because investments like this are essential to keeping our communities safe and running smoothly.
It’s long overdue that we have an energy policy in this country that puts consumers first, EBRA does just that. By strengthening consumer protections and ensuring large energy users pay their fair share, millions of Americans will be protected from price gouging.
I recently had the opportunity to join Pathlights in Palos Heights, a community organization supporting older adults, people with disabilities, and their families with resources to live independently. Pathlights provides essential services, including meals, to residents across six townships.
The president’s threat to wipe out an entire civilization is dangerous, reckless, and would constitute a war crime under both domestic and international law. Anyone in the Trump Administration who acts on this threat and violates the law must be held accountable, including criminal liability.
The president’s threat to wipe out an entire civilization is dangerous, reckless, and would constitute a war crime under both domestic and international law. This rhetoric undermines U.S. credibility, endangers civilians, and places American personnel in untenable legal, moral, and mortal jeopardy. Anyone in the Trump Administration who acts on this threat and violates the law must be held accountable, including criminal liability.

The urgency of the situation demands immediate action. This is the type of moment the 25th Amendment was drafted to address. The president is unfit to serve, and lives are at stake. The entire chain of command has a responsibility in this moment to step up and put their country over their loyalty to the president.
