While House Republicans are on week 5 of their paid vacation, @momsrising.org Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner & I were in DC highlighting how Republicans’ refusal to extend ACA tax credits means higher premiums for Washington families.
Families shouldn’t go hungry while Trump & Republicans play games. If the administration doesn’t act, SNAP runs out Nov. 1. I joined my colleagues urging the release of SNAP contingency funds approved by Congress so families don’t go hungry.
Beginning Nov. 1, families in WA could lose access to Head Start because of the Republican shutdown. These programs help kids learn, grow & succeed. House Republicans need to return to DC & negotiate so families don’t lose vital services.
