I am grateful to see the United Nations taking steps to reunite families affected by this conflict. The United States cannot continue to affirm the continued actions of Netanyahu’s government that has led to this—we must stop arms sales to Israel immediately.
Eleven children, now toddlers, who were born prematurely more than two years ago and evacuated to Egypt, were reunited with their families in Gaza as part of a UN-organized mission that brought tears of joy and celebration reut.rs/4bTw1nq
Let’s be clear where I stand. 1. No war with Iran—period. 2. Trump needs to be impeached. 3. His cabinet needs to invoke the 25th Amendment. 4. Congress needs to pass a War Powers Resolution. Trump is unfit for office. Congress must reconvene to take action.
It is time for Trump's Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment. Trump’s incoherent threats regarding his war in Iran, and more throughout this Administration, indicate that he may not be fit to carry out the duties of his office.
As a member of Congress, I cannot give you a single rational explanation for Trump's war. But whether this is about controlling oil, or doing whatever Netanyahu tells him to do, it needs to end immediately. There is no plan and innocent people are dying.
This is crazy and completely reckless. Speaker Johnson and House Republicans need to bring us back into session immediately to stop Trump’s power-hungry regime-change war. He’s killed thousands of people, and he doesn’t care if he kills a thousand more.
BREAKING: President Trump warns a "whole civilization will die tonight" but says Iran still has time to capitulate before 8 p.m. ET deadline.
Trump just asked Congress for $1.5 TRILLION for his defense budget. Conservative estimates say Medicare for All would cost our government about the same amount yearly. Do you all want more bombs sent abroad, or universal healthcare?
Trump's budget includes another $350 billion for foreign wars and cuts to housing, education, and more. Our communities are tired of this Administration ignoring the cost of living while we go to war in the Middle East—this budget shows Trump doesn't value working families.
This is disgusting. He talks about bombing other countries with no remorse and no thought for the civilians who will be caught in the crossfire. This is a moral issue. We cannot allow Trump to continue this war in Iran. Congress must pass the War Powers Resolution immediately.
Again, I don’t see how you can read this as anything other than Trump trying to normalize the idea of using nuclear weapons
Spoke with President Trump. He told me the conflict should be over in days, not weeks but if no deal is made he’s blowing up the whole country with “very little” off the table.

"If happens, it happens. And if it doesn't, we're blowing up the whole country,” he said.

I asked if there’s anything off limits.

“Very little,” he said.
It’s great to hear that our local transit agencies will be receiving $32 million to expand and improve service across our communities! This federal funding will be critical to continuing transit expansion in our growing region, and I’m glad to see it come to fruition. www.cbs17.com/news/local-n...
I’m glad that a ship was able to dock in Cuba—Trump has no plan to improve conditions for the Cuban people, as we’ve seen with his action in Venezuela and Iran. We should not continue this pressure campaign that hurts the Cuban people and has fostered little change. www.bbc.com/news/article...

I was honored to welcome @repjamesclyburn.bsky.social to the Hayti Heritage Center! Rep. Clyburn has been a champion for Black Americans for decades—there was no better place to show him in Durham than this Center which has been a reminder of the strength that comes from the unity of our community.
