I’m sending my condolences to the loved ones of Congressman David Scott. Congressman Scott was a champion for working families in Georgia for his over 20 years in Congress and beyond. He will be missed dearly, and his impact will be felt for generations to come.
More than ever, it's critical that Congress legislate with the tyranny of this Administration in mind. We can't turn a blind eye to NSPM-7 and these actions demonstrate that Congress must reject any FISA bill that allows the Trump Administration to surveil American citizens without a warrant.
This is part of Trump’s wider playbook to silence anyone who disagrees with him. Trump’s NSPM-7 memo, and the establishment of a mission center in accordance with that memo, explicitly lays out his goals of designating his opponents as “domestic terrorism” threats. bsky.app/profile/fous...
I have deep concerns about the revelation of a recently created “NSPM-7 Joint Mission Center” in the FBI’s FY27 budget request to Congress.
I am proud to be an original cosponsor of @jayapal.house.gov's Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act to establish a wealth tax for those with above $50 million. This bill would generate over $6 trillion while keeping taxes the same for over 99.5% of all Americans. In other words, it’s time to TAX THE RICH.
It is an outrage that in the richest country in the world, the wealthiest 1% own 50% of the country’s wealth. That’s why I introduced my Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act alongside @warren.senate.gov — so the rich pay their fair share, and we can actually invest in all Americans.
These common-sense reforms are important steps for Congress to take. We cannot afford to wait for a two-thirds majority to overturn Citizens United—Congress must address the inequities in our campaign finance system immediately.
I am proud to announce that I have cosponsored @repsummerlee.bsky.social's Abolish Super PACs Act to stop the continued influence of big-money donors and billionaires in our elections. Elections should be decided by votes, not money.
He has repeatedly obstructed efforts to conduct oversight, intervened in the promotions of qualified Black and woman officers, and launched us into an inhumane war with Iran in which our military has put civilians at risk—including destroying a girls’ school in Minab.
I am cosponsoring @repyassansari.bsky.social's Articles of Impeachment against Pete Hegseth.
I’ve introduced Articles of Impeachment against Pete Hegseth for violating his oath, endangering U.S. servicemembers, and committing war crimes, including attacks on civilians and a girls’ school in Minab, Iran. Only Congress can declare war; his actions demand immediate removal.
I am cosponsoring @mccollum.house.gov's legislation to stop U.S. support of the seizure of Palestinian property, military detentions of Palestinian children, and further annexation of Palestinian land in violation of international law.
Recent changes to laws in Israel further emphasize the importance of ensuring U.S. taxpayer dollars do not further the well-documented mistreatment of Palestinian children and families living under Israeli military occupation.
