While technology shifts the job landscape, our government needs to uplift nonprofits that are filling gaps by providing North Carolinians the skills they need to secure the good-paying jobs they deserve.
It was great visiting NPower NC to discuss how they’re providing tuition-free career placement services to young adults here in North Carolina.
In April, we celebrate Arab American Heritage Month by honoring the rich cultures, history, and contributions of Arab Americans in North Carolina and across the nation. We are stronger because of the Arab communities that call America home.
America can't keep supporting death and destruction at the hands of Israel in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. We must stop arms sales to Israel and pass legislation to prevent our involvement.
This is heartless—more innocent Palestinians are being killed while conflicts continue throughout the region.

On Yom HaShoah, we honor the memories of the six million innocent Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust at the hands of the evil Nazi regime. May their memories always be a blessing.
Thank you to all the talented students across #NC04 who participated in this year’s Congressional Art Competition!
Congratulations to this year’s winners:
🥇 Guanyan Chen, East Chapel Hill High School
🥈 Seah Moon, Green Level High School
🥉 Kacy Sun, Durham Academy
While Fuquay-Varina experiences continued population growth, we need to meet the moment with proper road, sidewalk, and transit improvements to support local residents.
It was great meeting with Fuquay-Varina Mayor Bill Harris to talk about local issues including how we can continue bringing jobs and federal funding for infrastructure to the town.

It’s a pleasure to represent Wake County, and I look forward to continuing our work together to ensure our local leaders and residents have their voices heard in Congress.
This week, @ross.house.gov and I met with @wakegov.bsky.social County Commissioners to discuss how we can properly support our booming region with proper housing efforts, infrastructure improvements, and more.
The @aclu.org has long sounded the alarm about how Trump’s NSPM-7 Memorandum targets activists and nonprofits.
The establishment of a Mission Center takes this even further. This must be rejected by Congress.

The federal government has a role to play in keeping communities safe from acts of terror. But Trump’s NPSM-7 memo groups whoever the Administration says engage in “extremism on migration, race, and gender”, with real terror threats.
I have deep concerns about the revelation of a recently created “NSPM-7 Joint Mission Center” in the FBI’s FY27 budget request to Congress.
Thank you Christina Koch, Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Jeremy Hansen. You are inspiring the world and our future generations, and we’re all excited to see you all get home tonight.
As Ranking Member of the Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee, it was an honor to speak with the Artemis II Crew as they make their way back to Earth.

I am signing Rep. Rashida Tlaib's War Powers Resolution to stop all U.S. military involvement in Israel’s hostilities in Lebanon.
Tune in around 7:50PM Eastern Time to catch my questions for NASA Astronaut Reid Wiseman, NASA Astronaut Victor Glover, and North Carolina’s very own NASA Astronaut Christina Koch at the link below.

I am excited to announce that I’ll have the opportunity to ask questions to astronauts on the Artemis II spacecraft LIVE!
