I’m celebrating the amazing small businesses of CA-30 this week!
From nifty shops to incredible bakeries and indie producers, these small but mighty businesses are the backbone of our economy and give the district so much character.
What small business in CA-30 should I visit next?

🏳️⚧️ Laura Friedman Proud to stand with as we broke ground on the first-ever building built from the ground up dedicated to TGI wellness. This project has been 17 years in the making a testament to the fact that while the road wasn't easy, our commitment to trans lives is unshakeable.
I represent one of the largest Armenian American communities in the country, and I will not stay silent while their loyalty is questioned and their community is targeted by a serial bigot. (2/2)
Every American should be disgusted by Rep. Fine’s comments. Armenian Americans serve in our military, build businesses, support their neighbors, and make countless contributions to this nation. (1/2)
The name was never the problem. The problem is that two American citizens have been killed, countless more have had their rights violated, and agents terrorize our communities while Trump blocks oversight or accountability.
Americans want top to bottom reform, not a rebranding.
As a member of the Committee on Science and Technology, I am working to bring critical resources to our scientific community so that American can continue to be a world leader in space exploration and crucial scientific research. (2/2)
While the crew of Artemis II returned from their historic visit to space, I had the opportunity to tour the Carnegie Observatory, which is the birthplace of much of our understanding of our universe. (1/2)
I won’t stop fighting against this administration’s war against science. (2/2)
Gutting the National Science Board is another Trump move that will stifle the discoveries which benefit all Americans.
I sit on the House Committee on Science, Space & Technology because I know how scientific research improves our lives. (1/2)
In Congress, I’m working to complement our State partners with a national film tax credit that will be a crucial multiplier to the filming incentives offered in California. (2/2)
Proud to join my friend Assemblymember Schultz as he announced an important new bill to help bring post-production work back to California. (1/2)
I’m working in Congress to bring down the cost of transit, and to bring it to communities faster!
I'm proud to represent a district rich with the cultural contributions of all the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities that call it home.
That includes Thai Town, a vibrant part of Los Angeles, and where pad thai world record history was made just last weekend!

We stand on the shoulders of the workers who fought for our rights. Today, we celebrate the bravery of those who stood up to ensure dignity for every person on the job.

I toured the shining light in Hollywood that is Being Alive LA, an organization working tirelessly to combat HIV stigma and provide care for our friends and neighbors living with HIV/AIDS.
They’ve been at this for 40 years, and I’m proud to support their efforts in caring for our neighbors.
Great to see this project get started! Once finished, commuters including many in my district will see their transit times cut down by 30 to 40%.
In Congress, I’m laser focused on expanding access to transit and keeping commuters safe as they get from Point A to Point B.
I'm working with colleagues in Congress to fight back.
We will use every tool we have to stop this administration from weaponizing federal agencies to silence critics. The First Amendment and a free press aren't negotiable.
This is how authoritarian regimes often control the press. They threaten their ability to exist until self-censorship does the work for them.
And this isn't just a threat at Disney, it's a direct message to every newsroom in America: air content we don't like, and we'll come after your licenses. Report critically on this administration and your entire business could vanish overnight.
This is the kind of move we condemn when it happens in other countries. It's happening here now.
One FCC Commissioner called this "the most egregious action this FCC has taken in violation of the First Amendment to date."
