Trump’s deportation agenda is cruel, indiscriminate, and even going after American citizens.
I joined a group of House and Senate Democrats including @padilla.senate.gov and @repdangoldman.bsky.social demanding answers, NOW.
(2/2) These impacts are now compounded as the VA is unable to attract doctors and nurses. The gutting of the VA is a disaster for public health and a disservice to our military veterans and their families.
(1/2) Our VA’s play a vital role in our communities to serve our veterans. Through mass layoffs and funding cuts, these important services have been decimated by the Trump admin.
The Trump admin's recent OPM guidance inherently undermines church-state separation and attacks religious freedom for federal employees.
Rep. Raskin and I sent a letter to OPM Director Kupor opposing these egregious efforts and demanding clarity in the new policies.
This latest Trump firing spree is shocking and does nothing to address the crises currently impacting Puerto Ricans.
The public deserves answers. Congress deserves answers. And the people of Puerto Rico deserve better.

(3/3) Detaining people who legally comply with immigration processes is a waste of taxpayer dollars. Our detention centers are full, people are being held at ICE offices and sent to other states unnecessarily, and many cannot access attorneys or contact loved ones. It's unacceptable.
(2/3) People apply for asylum because they fear for their safety, and deporting those in danger is not the American way. At minimum, we need to ensure due process for people who are simply trying to comply with our immigration process.
(1/3) The Trump administration’s fanatical goal to rid the country of immigrants is out of control. ICE is deporting more than cartel criminals — we are seeing folks who are living here peacefully and who are legally employed report for check-ins only to be detained.

House Republicans would rather shut down the House until September than release the Epstein Files. Once again, they’re choosing to protect elites over giving Americans the truth.
