Trump’s deportation agenda is cruel, indiscriminate, and even going after American citizens. I joined a group of House and Senate Democrats including @padilla.senate.gov ‪and @repdangoldman.bsky.social demanding answers, NOW.
We need real commitments to reduce plastic and phase out avoidable chemicals across the country. I sent a letter with Senators Whitehouse and Merkley to Secretary Rubio asking the Trump administration to end plastic pollution and protect these interests on the world stage.
House Republicans are slashing the federal agencies that Americans depend on every day for free, accurate weather data and emergency information. On #TheFlipSide, I’m doing everything I can to protect them.
(3/3) Detaining people who legally comply with immigration processes is a waste of taxpayer dollars. Our detention centers are full, people are being held at ICE offices and sent to other states unnecessarily, and many cannot access attorneys or contact loved ones. It's unacceptable.
(2/3) People apply for asylum because they fear for their safety, and deporting those in danger is not the American way. At minimum, we need to ensure due process for people who are simply trying to comply with our immigration process.

Health care is a right, not a privilege — and for 60 years since being established, Medicare & Medicaid have helped Americans access the care they need. But now, Trump and House Republicans are ripping this essential care away from 15 million people, and we're working harder than ever to stop them.
🚨Trump is gutting NOAA and NWS while climate change is causing catastrophic extreme weather.🌊🌪️🌀🔥   @rephuffman.bsky.social and I introduced my Stop NOAA Closures Act so the President can’t close labs predicting storms & leave Americans vulnerable to disasters.
While Republicans take steps to remove protections for one of our most special and sacred national monuments, I am using every available resource to expand protections, partner with tribes, and preserve our environment.
House Republicans would rather shut down the House until September than release the Epstein Files. Once again, they’re choosing to protect elites over giving Americans the truth. The American people deserve answers, and House Democrats are demanding it.
Today, Rep. Raskin and I led the Congressional Freethought Caucus in a letter to IRS Commissioner Long after the Trump admin again threatened our nation’s core principles of free speech, free exercise of religion, and the separation between church and state. Read below ⬇️
My statement regarding Interior Sec. Burgum and AG Pam Bondi’s visit to Alcatraz Island as part of the Trump administration’s bizarre and troubling proposal to reopen the former federal penitentiary – now a treasured national park and historic site – as an active prison for detained immigrants:
