Rural communities and farmers are enduring some of the harshest consequences of Trump's war. These are the folks who put food on our tables and keep the country running. They deserve better than broken promises and lip service from the GOP.
Prices are out-of-control because of Trump’s unnecessary war in Iran. Trump is bad for the American people and bad for the economy — and my Republican colleagues are doing nothing to stop him.
From housing to health care to groceries, the cost of living is way too high in America right now. I was glad to join @mikethompson.house.gov to chat with people in our communities about our efforts in Congress to lower costs, expand tax credits, and help hardworking families in California.
Republicans are wasting our time rebranding their One Big, Ugly Bill, which stripped health care from millions to give tax breaks to billionaires. No matter what name they slap on it, they can’t fool Americans. Republicans betrayed working families, and you deserve better.
A gold inscription reading "One Nation Under God"? That phrase came from Cold War propaganda, not our Founders.
Trump stamping it on his vanity arch tells you everything about what this project is: a Christian Nationalist monument, paid for w/ your tax dollars.
The Trump administration is gutting the U.S. Forest Service. Closing research stations and offices and relocating families to Utah with no plan.
And they're doing it heading into fire season after Trump's DOGE already fired workers.
You can count on me to fight this in D.C.
There is a madman in the White House. Trump threatened to commit war crimes in Iran and declared “a whole civilization will die tonight.”
This is insane and horrific.
What more will it take for Republicans to join us and put an end to this?
I toured the San Anselmo/Fairfax Children's Center and heard about all the big improvements on the way. I was able to get $800,000 in federal funding to help them modernize their facilities and support kids in our community, and it was good to see how that money will be put to good use!
I'm so glad that the funding I helped secure is making a real difference and giving families the answers they've waited decades for. This week, Charles Marrs' loved ones finally got closure on his disappearance in 1993. My heart is with them, and I’m hopeful for all the others these funds will help.
While the American people deal with very real problems, Trump is hyperfixating on illegally building a gilded ballroom for himself. We’ve been pushing back on this in my Committee @naturalresources.bsky.social – and now the courts have even stepped in to stop his madness.
Life is more expensive than ever under Trump, and addressing the rising cost of housing is one of my top priorities.
My bill to help turn old Coast Guard housing facilities into more affordable housing just became law. I’m glad I got to tour them this week for an update on this great project!
For Farmworkers Day, I toured a housing project in West Marin backed by $2 million in community project funding I secured. I'm proud of the work we're doing here in our rural communities to ensure that our farmworkers have affordable places to live.
Trump is doing Big Oil’s bidding yet again – and this time he's calling it "national security." His minions voted to let oil and gas companies ignore protections for endangered species when they drill in the Gulf of Mexico.
And Gulf communities are going to pay the price for this corruption.

@rephuffman.bsky.social: "The corrupt bargain between the Trump administration and the fossil fuel industry will not stand. My Democratic colleagues and I will fight this in court & we’ll have the support of every community in America that values public integrity and a healthy environment."

Trump started a war with Iran that is driving gas prices through the roof. Now his administration is using that crisis as a pretext to hand oil companies a blank check to destroy the Gulf.
And Gulf Coast communities and wildlife will pay for it.

Gulf Coast fishing families, shrimpers, tourism operators, and coastal communities that depend on a healthy ocean are now at the mercy of an industry with a track record of greed, catastrophic spills, and zero accountability.

Sea turtles, sperm whales, sharks, rays, and corals all lose their protections under this decision.

There are 50 Rice's whales left alive on Earth. They live nowhere else but the Gulf of Mexico. The admin’s own scientists said last year drilling would drive the species to extinction.
Today, Trump's cabinet removed every protection standing between the oil industry & these animals’ deaths.

He claims protecting endangered sea creatures in the Gulf is getting in the way of "national security." No administration, Republican or Democrat, has ever tried anything this sweeping and reckless.
