Last night, House Republicans passed a $4.5 trillion tax cut for billionaires that will be paid for by slashing Medicaid & benefits hardworking folks depend on. Every Democrat voted against it. This is just the beginning, and you can count on us to keep standing up for you, not billionaire donors.
Nearly 150,000 people in #CA02 who depend on Medicaid are at risk of losing their health care under the proposed Republican budget. This devastating loss could cost over 50,000 children their health care – all so Trump’s wealthy donors can keep more cash in their pockets. It's outrageous.
Democrats fought back, and we won. But this should never have happened in the first place. Musk's email unleashed chaos and fear and left millions of public servants scrambling. This was such a disturbing overreach by an unelected billionaire.
In just 4 weeks, Trump and his minions have spread chaos all across the country – and this new "cost-saving" budget is no different.
Rather than saving costs for average Americans, they're cutting programs people rely on every day so their billionaire friends can get a tax cut.
