We had a bipartisan deal to fund the government. Then a couple corrupt billionaires tweeted and Republicans broke the deal.
The House GOP needs to grow a spine and protect Americans from the President Musk and First Lady Trump Shut Down.
Reposted byRep. Jared Huffman
Republicans would rather cut taxes for billionaire donors than fund research for children with cancer.
That is why our country is on the brink of a government shutdown that will crash the economy, hurt working class Americans and likely be the longest in history.
Welcome back to the MAGA swamp.
If @housegop.bsky.social continues to bend the knee to Donald Trump and Elon Musk and shut down the government, it’s going to have terrible impacts on our country.
While we work to avoid this catastrophe, we want you to have the information you need to navigate a potential shutdown. See more here ⬇️
We reached a bipartisan deal to keep the government running and meet the needs of the American people.
Trump and Elon ordered the GOP to go back on their word and force a shutdown.
Republicans are choosing to harm people all across the country at the whim of wannabe dictators.
We have to stop exploiting our communities and planet for the sake of Bio Oil profits.
Our new bill will make sure we take a serious look at how dirty energy exports impact carbon emissions, environmental justice, and domestic energy prices before just greenlighting fossil fuel projects.
Big Oil has been quietly cutting deals to send massive amounts of fossil fuels abroad. My NO SPILLS Act will strengthen the review process and make sure the DOT Maritime Administration stops rubber-stamping these projects. We can't put our communities, oceans, & climate in peril for Big Oil profits.
It is the honor of my lifetime to win this election and be named Ranking Member of @naturalresources.bsky.social
Thank you to the many incredible partners who have supported me in this journey. Our work is a team sport, and I’m excited and ready to lead this team.

It's an incredible honor to receive the Steering and Policy Committee's recommendation for Ranking Member of the Natural Resources Committee. Thank you for this vote of confidence!
This editorial endorsement for me to lead Democrats on the Natural Resources Committee is particularly close to my heart -- one from our very own Santa Rosa Press Democrat. Thank you!

My new draft legislation, the RESTORE Act, is intended to reflect that vision -- and I look forward to gathering feedback to improve our ideas in future iterations.

It’s time for the federal govt to do more than just ‘consult’ impacted tribes when projects are developed; tribes should be at the table from start to finish, with an opportunity to meaningfully share in the economic benefits of clean energy.
It’s been a privilege to work alongside so many fantastic legislators on the House Natural Resources Committee during my time in Congress, and I’m grateful they want to entrust me with leading the committee next Congress.
Thank you for this endorsement!

I am deeply honored and grateful to receive these endorsements from my valued tribal partners.
If I am fortunate enough to be elected as Ranking Member, I will be sure to represent the voices and opinions of every tribe from every region.

I really enjoyed meeting with Governor Phillips and Councilman Moquino of the Ohkay Owingeh Tribal Nation in New Mexico today to talk about the importance of their water rights settlement. These conversations are critical for creating a secure water future for everyone.
These stalwarts of Democratic leadership on the Natural Resources Committee collectively represent more than 100 years of service, wisdom, and expertise.
I've been lucky enough to count them as both mentors and friends during my time in office, and I'm honored to have this public endorsement!
Qe must be unified and prepared as we brace for the impending storm of a 2nd Trump admin.
The CPC will be a critical bulwark against Trump’s Project 2025, while serving as a beacon of good policies that put working people 1st, champion enviro justice, and build an equitable future for all.
I’m honored to have the trust and confidence of my CPC colleagues in continuing to serve in this leadership position and to be part of CPC’s new, dynamic leadership team as we fight to defend progressive values and priorities.

I am honored to have their backing and the support of many others as we look towards championing environmental justice, amplifying tribal priorities, and protecting our most precious resources from Trump’s relentless attacks on the environment in the 119th Congress.
Immensely grateful for this show of support from my colleagues as I seek to lead the Natural Resources Committee. Hitting the ground running is essential to fighting Trump’s Project 2025, and frontliners know exactly what it takes to get the job done.

Together, we can work to create water supply certainty for tribes, states, and non-tribal users alike.
I was honored by his invitation to visit Navajo lands & look forward to visiting!
