This is happening because Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth invoked a never-before-used loophole in the Endangered Species Act.

BREAKING: The Trump administration just voted to let Big Oil ignore every endangered species protection in the Gulf of Mexico.
In a single meeting, Trump's corrupt cabinet gave oil companies a free pass to kill endangered whales & sea turtles so they can drill without limits.

E-bikes are affordable, convenient, and sustainable, but we need ways to keep kids and folks in our community safe when using them. My bill will help define federal e-bike standards and give local governments resources to enhance their safety programs.
ICE agents are now checking travelers' IDs at airports – a job they're not even remotely trained to do. This is a blatant government overreach that does nothing but intimidate people and distract from real priorities like funding our government and paying real TSA agents.

🚨 Breaking: House Natural Resources SHUT DOWN over Don Jr. Subpoena! 🚨
We know Trump and his family are lining their own pockets with corrupt government deals. But, when we tried to subpoena his Jr. to answer questions today, Republicans shut it down. ⬇️

Donald Trump Jr. bought into a company. Three months later, his dad's Pentagon handed them $620 million in taxpayer dollars. Democrats forced a vote to subpoena Don Jr. today to come clean about this shady deal.
But Republicans blocked it and even shut down the hearing to protect him.
Make It Home’s new furniture warehouse is going to help a lot of low-income families and underserved youth throughout our community. It was great to attend the grand opening and tour the space, and I'm glad I could get some federal funding to help finish this project.
Ever since Trump launched his reckless war in Iran, Americans have faced ridiculously high prices at the pump – and we're being hit the hardest in California. Your taxpayer dollars should go toward making your life more affordable, not wage a senseless war.
Service members risk their lives for this country and deserve dignity in return.
But Trump is deporting them in his rogue ICE campaign - and House Republicans are covering it up. This administration continues to hand out betrayal after betrayal.
We have Trump and House Republicans to thank for all the airport chaos right now. Instead of working with Democrats to fund airport security and disaster aid, they're using American travelers as political pawns to keep ICE unchecked and pass their insane bill to take away your right to vote.
Health care costs are skyrocketing due to Republicans' cuts in the Big, Ugly Law. Meanwhile, Trump’s war of choice in Iran is costing American taxpayers at least $1 billion per day. Our priority should be making life better for Americans, not fighting forever wars abroad.
Democrats lowered health care costs by an average of $2,400 per family through the Affordable Care Act. But Republicans slashed that coverage for over 20 million Americans to pay for billionaire tax breaks.
You deserve better, and Republicans need to help us reinstate these credits immediately.
For months, RFK Jr. has been pushing debunked conspiracy theories as government policy – and thankfully the federal courts just stepped in to block his crusade against vaccines for kids. House Republicans are still enabling him, but on #TheFlipSide, here's what I'm doing to protect public health.

We banned lead from gasoline. From paint. From children's toys.
Republicans just voted to keep it in our wildlife refuges, killing bald eagles and over 130 species, because the gun lobby told them to.
@rephuffman.bsky.social: Our public lands belong to the American people, not the NRA.
American families are paying way too much for electricity right now.
Democrats are doing something about it. Our #EnergyBillsReliefAct would expand access to cleaner, cheaper forms of energy and lower your electricity bills.
Gas prices are up 32% this month thanks to Trump's war in Iran, and American drivers are struggling. We need this administration to come up with some concrete, sensible plans to get us out of this mess they caused.
We're over two weeks into a reckless war in Iran, and Trump has introduced no meaningful plan to protect our national security interests. 13 service members have died, billions of taxpayer dollars have been spent, and this administration still has no clear strategy to bring this conflict to an end.
We're seeing more and more e-bikes in our communities, but there are insufficient federal standards to keep pedestrians, bicyclists, and kids safe.
I joined Rep. Dave Min in introducing the Safe SPEEDS Act to set real safety standards, improve data, and respond to this growing challenge.
Thanks to the incredible staff at the Mendocino Community Health Clinic (MCHC) in Willits for showing me your facility and giving me a glimpse into the care you provide for our community.
Our communities in the North Coast are enduring wildfires year-round, and we need a bigger, fully trained firefighting workforce to combat this growing crisis.
This week, we celebrated $20 million in new funds for Mendocino College to invest in fire technology, training, and more.
