🚨Calling #CA02 high school artists!🚨
It’s time for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition! Every year, I look forward to seeing the incredible artwork that students up and down the North Coast create and can’t wait to see what you have in store. Submit here: huffman.house.gov/helping-you/...
While Trump’s ICE agents terrorize communities and shoot people down in our streets, Republicans are trying to pass even more funding for this rogue police force. On #TheFlipSide, I'm voting NO to more funding and pushing for bills that establish guardrails and protections.
People are struggling to put food on the table. Instead of making groceries more affordable, Republicans are trying to give ICE thugs $40K+ bonuses to and doing nothing to address hard-working Americans' real problems. House Democrats and I are focused on making life better for people, not harder.
ICE is already out of control and abusing every ounce of power they get. Letting them arrest people without warrants is going to make this horrific situation even worse.
What in the authoritarian-takeover hell is this?
Arresting journalists for doing their job is horrific. The Trump admin is breaking the law to silence reporters and hide the truth.
Tribal nations deserve a seat at the table when deciding what happens on their lands – and Trump’s ruthless budget cuts and job-slashing sprees are making that kind of collaboration even harder.
We need more resources to make co-management as successful as possible, and I’ll keep prioritizing that.
Life in Trump’s America is not affordable. Republicans promised to look out for hardworking people, and clearly, they lied.
I'm working with my Democratic colleagues every day to drive down prices.
Designating the Bay Area Ridge Trail as a National Scenic Trail would help complete it and set it on par with iconic trails like the Appalachian and Pacific Crest.
Senator Schiff and I are thrilled to be getting the ball rolling.

Trump is using our national parks as a pawn to try and whitewash history and ignore reality. The National Park Service has a responsibility to present facts without political interference – removing exhibits about slavery and climate change is unacceptable.
(2/2) While we mourn the loss of Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good, I'm standing with the brave people in Minneapolis during this increasingly difficult and uncertain time. ICE’s brutal reign of terror must be stopped.
(1/2) Trump, Kristi Noem and the Department of Homeland Security are completely out of control. Lawless and masked agents are killing civilians in Minneapolis, in the most horrific, preventable tragedies that are truly hard to believe, impossible to watch, and everything in between.
Thank you to the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards for this amazing honor! Leading the charge in Congress to protect our oceans is a true passion of mine – and it’s more important than ever. I'm determined to keep pushing forward to make meaningful progress that will last generations.
Republicans are doubling down on Trump’s obsession with taking over Greenland and introduced a bill to make it the 51st state.
On #TheFlipSide, Democrats are working to get taxpaying, American citizens in D.C. statehood.
Trump is barreling forward to try to give California coastlines to big Oil billionaires. I went up and down the North Coast this month to hear from people in our communities who would actually be impacted by more drilling. Their message was loud and clear: NO.
The average household in California is paying an additional $2,355 in higher costs because of Trump's idiotic policies.
Housing payments, grocery bills, transportation costs, and energy bills are all skyrocketing.
The American people can’t afford this incompetent president.
What ICE is doing in Minneapolis and cities across the country is horrifying, and I wanted to share an update on what I’m doing here in Congress.
We're only a year into Trump 2.0, but he’s wasted no time torching our public lands and resources and the communities that cherish them. From massive cuts to sell-offs for billionaires to destructive policies, Trump has shown no signs of letting up.
I'm thrilled my team and I secured community project funding for the Trinity Public Utilities District’s new Sno-cat. Keeping our power on during harsh winter weather conditions is critical, and this new machine will make that much easier.
This week on #TheFlipSide, the House has been completely turned upside down because Republicans would rather strip hard-working Americans’ wages and rights than address this cost-of-living crisis. But us reasonable adults in Congress aren’t standing for it.
Trump is endangering Americans for the sake of polluters.
These standards exist for a reason. Refusing to consider the health impacts of some of the deadliest pollutants when setting emission standards will cost thousands of lives.
