The president isn't worried about American's financial situation, but I am, and I urge my colleagues in Congress to put their energies toward making American affordable again.
The cost of airline tickets and gas continue to go up because of the president's war in Iran, making summer travel out of reach for so many families.
Prices for barbecue staples have risen 13% on average since last year, more than four times the rate of inflation, according to a new study by the Groundwork Collaborative.
We are thankful today, and every day, for their sacrifices.
They are paid for with lives that were taken on the beaches of Normandy, the Pacific shores of Pearl Harbor, in the mountains of Korea, the jungles of Vietnam, the sands of Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran. They left for conflicts thousands of miles away to secure our future at home.
Today, the nation pauses to remember those who fought and died for this country. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder that the freedoms granted to us are hard-fought and hard-won.

Not one of those will lower the cost of groceries, medicine, gas, rent or tuition. Enough is enough.
A year ago, gas in PA was $3.31 a gallon on average. Now it's approaching $5 a gallon, but the President is focused on the construction of a ballroom, a boxing ring and a gigantic arch while also setting up a trust fund for J6ers to pick your pockets.
Americans did not ask for this war, and they deserve to have a voice in decisions about continuing it. That’s why Congressional authority matters.
We come to honor the sacrifices of the women and men who gave their lives, the scars of those who returned, and the memories of the nearly 1,600 still missing in action.
Our nation is grateful. You are not forgotten.
I had the honor of joining my fellow veteran Members of Congress for the annual washing of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
My father served in Vietnam – and thankfully his name is not one of the 58,318 etched into the stone.
Director Patel's constant and egregious abuse of his position is disqualifying and so very unpatriotic.
"Snorkeling around Arizona is as disrespectful as playing kickball on top of the graves at Arlington.”
The U.S.S. Arizona is the final resting place of more than 900 sailors and Marines who lost their lives during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
He was a man of courage, proud to stand openly and unapologetically for equality long before it was politically safe to do so.
Rest in peace, Rep. Frank.
