President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the World Health Organization, but I'm still celebrating World Health Day and honoring 78 years of research, advocacy, and innovation by the @who.int. We must rejoin the world in our shared effort to treat, monitor, and eliminate global health threats.
The President’s request for $1.15 trillion in defense spending is outrageous and unacceptable, especially when he's planning further cuts to the services Americans rely on. Our nation won't be secure without investments in our health care, education, nutrition and infrastructure.
Spring is in full swing, and with it some of our time-honored community events! For those who like to prep early, here are some family-friendly activities happening across the Twin Cities this spring & summer ⬇️
I’m grateful that the second missing crew member in Iran was rescued and that all service members involved in the rescue operation are safe. I’m wishing both crew members a speedy recovery as they receive the medical attention they need. www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...
How are Trump's tariffs impacting small business owners? “The tariffs are making us crazy. Almost 100% of my goods have gone up since the beginning of the tariffs,” said Daniel Hernandez, owner of three Colonial Market grocery stores.
Reminder: Deadline to submit 2026 Congressional Art Competition entries is April 10 at 5:00 pm. Artwork will be displayed in the Atrium Gallery at the Schmidt's Artist Lofts as a part of the 2026 Spring Saint Paul Art Crawl! 🖼️🌸
When Pam Bondi is remembered by history, it will be as President Trump’s blindly loyal coconspirator who was completely incompetent. Attorney General Bondi has willfully and actively violated the Constitution, federal law, and judicial orders.
This is unbelievable. Trump's Solicitor General replied "I think so?" when asked if Native Americans are birthright citizens. They are the First Americans, and they have endured through stolen land, broken treaties, and our federal government's attempt to wipe out their nations.
President Trump says “we can’t take care of daycare,” but he wants Americans to pay an extra $200 billion to keep fighting his disastrous war against Iran. Preschool for every 3 and 4-year-old would cost less. It’s about priorities.
Trump: We can't take care of daycare. We're a big country. We're fighting wars. It's not possible for us to take care of daycare, Medicaid, Medicare, all these things.
One year ago today, President Trump declared that his "Liberation Day" would improve our economy. Instead, Americans are paying higher prices for everything. If the president really wants to liberate us, he should end his erratic tariff policy and end his illegal war in Iran.
