This week, I was privileged to visit Lockheed Martin in Marietta. Lockheed employs over 680 constituents from my district alone, and I was pleased to learn about the ways in which they are helping to educate and support the workforce of the future. Thank you for having me!

People deserve better than the extreme cuts Republicans made. On this anniversary, I'm recommitting myself to the fight for lower costs, expanded benefits, and improved access to care for every single person.
60 years ago, Medicare and Medicaid became law, offering quality, affordable health care choices to millions of Americans. My Republican colleagues and President Trump recently slashed federal investment in these foundational programs, threatening the care of millions of Americans.
My statement on the recent shootings in Atlanta and New York City:
When I questioned Secretary McMahon about her cancellation of this program to help students with disabilities, she had no answers for me.

Seeing your child grow up to thrive is the goal for every parent, and that takes on another level of significance when a child has a condition that makes learning more difficult.
I’m grateful to my House & Senate colleagues for joining me on this new bill—we won’t leave America’s students behind.
Together with my colleagues on the Education & Workforce Committee, I'm fighting against Republican attempts to raise health care costs and gut coverage.
As a two-time breast cancer survivor, I understand how important it is to have affordable and accessible health care.
New today in the Georgia Sun 🍑
"Georgia schools will soon get some relief... This comes after strong pressure from Georgia’s Rep. Lucy McBath and other lawmakers."
"The partial release shows the power of bipartisan pressure and public outcry."
I'm proud to stand up for Georgia’s students and for families across America.
Today’s decision is a triumph for children who rely on these programs to learn, grow, and succeed.
Every child, no matter their ZIP code, deserves access to a high-quality education.

Five years after his death, our friend John Lewis's words ring just as true.
Our students and families deserve to have access to high-quality public education programs.
No more excuses. It's past time for the Trump Administration to release the illegally withheld $7 billion in federal funding that Congress approved.

Delighted to spend the morning at the Good Samaritan Center of Douglas County and hear about their work to keep Atlanta healthy and nourished.
Thanks for having me—we appreciate all you do!
The Trump Administration Department of Education and OMB are illegally withholding $7 billion in education funding, jeopardizing the success of millions of students.
I'm leading 150 House Democrats in demanding answers.
I was pleased to sit down with officials from the City of South Fulton to discuss how federal programs can support their goals and priorities.
With federal funding under attack, we must uplift every opportunity to assist the cities and counties I represent. Thanks for having me, South Fulton!
Last week's budget passed by Republicans will cut food assistance to families across America. No child should worry about where their next meal will come from.
I visited Agape Atlanta to help serve lunch to summer camp students and stay in touch with some of my youngest constituents.
As search and rescue efforts continue in Texas, my heart breaks for families who are grieving the loss of a loved one and for all those who have been impacted by the flood. I am grateful for the continued efforts of public safety officials working around the clock.
A message for my constituents 🖤
Despite Democrats fighting against this bill all night and all of us voting NO, the Republicans forced it through anyway. This is a sad day for our nation. And still—we press forward.
