Today, I welcomed several veterans to my DC office to talk about how we can better support VFW members and all who have worn the uniform. 🇺🇸
Kash Patel fired FBI counterterrorism agents with expertise on Iran just days before the war began.
@benniethompson.bsky.social and I are demanding that Patel explain himself in front of the Homeland Security Cmte and take steps to protect Americans from Iran-backed terror attacks.
I am proud to cosponsor the Mentoring to Succeed Act to create a support system to help ensure that children who experience barriers like poverty, disability, or drug or alcohol abuse, can successfully transition to high school, college, and beyond.
I just left a classified briefing about the Iran War. Here is what I can share.
Part-time workers are often treated like second-class employees, even while juggling multiple jobs totaling 40+ hours a week.
I’m joining the Part-Time Worker Bill of Rights to require big companies to provide FMLA and retirement plans for part-time workers with at least 500 hours/year.

Good news: I’ve secured $850K for the South Kingstown Housing Authority’s community center, which provides counseling, job support, and a space for residents to meet and connect.
I just completed a call with FEMA Region 1 and RI Emergency Management.
As RI continues to dig out from the historic blizzard, I am working with my colleagues in the delegation to ensure that Rhode Island gets all federal resources necessary to support the recovery.
ICYMI: No matter what is happening in Washington, I will continue to fight for federal funding for local projects that improve life for Rhode Islanders.
$850,000 of new federal funding is coming to the South Kingstown Housing Authority to build a new community center at Champagne Heights, to create a place for residents to connect and access services.
Modern school buildings improve attendance, boost reading levels, and raise test scores.
I am proud to cosponsor the Rebuild America’s Schools Act to invest in safe, modern classrooms for our kids. This was a priority of mine as State Treasurer and continues to be in Congress.
