No one should be targeted for practicing their faith, period. Hatred and bigotry have no space in our nation, and I condemn this attempted attack on this synagogue.

I am deeply saddened and horrified to hear reports of a vehicle ramming and active shooter incident at Temple Israel in Michigan, the largest reform synagogue in the United States.
This war needs to stop now.
You don't just flip the switch back on once the war stops. The conflict with Iran is going to have a months-long impact on the economy.
There has been an enormous cost to the war with Iran.
Donald Trump is a con man who wants to consolidate more power in his hands at the expense of our constitutional republic.
In Seattle, I visited the WCIT Trade Summit to speak about Congress’s role in trade policy. We’ve seen the impacts that tariffs have had on both consumers and businesses in WA, and must continue to push back on Trump’s chaotic, reckless tariff policies. Great discussion with you all.
The benefits that we would get in this war are going to be substantially less than the President had hoped for.
The current price of gas in King County has jumped to $4.88 per gallon as a result of the military actions in Iran. My constituents in Washington cannot afford to pay a dollar over the national average because of Donald Trump's war of choice.
I have always been a proponent for workforce training and look forward to witnessing the opportunities for apprenticeships and development at this facility.
Yesterday, I stopped by LiUNA 242’s new facility in Des Moines. After speaking at their ribbon cutting last May, it’s great to see this project come to fruition and for the union to support new construction craft laborers in King County.
It's time to find a vastly more intelligent off-ramp from this ill conceived war, where the benefits are turning out to be a lot smaller than the president envisioned.
The small businesses in our communities have continued to provide important support for refugees and immigrants, and I always am happy to see new opportunities pop up around Seattle. Thanks for having me.
This weekend, I joined the THRIVE Seattle Business Conference, hosted by the Somali Independent Business Alliance and Somali Health Board.
Trump believes force and violence is the answer, and we are experiencing the consequences and costs of this war, including the death of 168 Iranian school girls.
This is the first war we've gone into in history where even at the start, the American people are not in favor of it.
Thank you to the students and presenters who joined me at our Youth Resource and STEM Fair. It was great seeing you learn from others in the community, and I hope to hold another event like this soon.

"I have been in a lot of briefings w/govt officials & other experts ... over the last 9 days. It's as if we have learned absolutely nothing.
We have to make the right policy choice, pressure the Trump Admin to find an off-ramp & get us out of this war."

The American people want to deal with inflation, affordability, and strengthening our economy, but the war in Iran is going to drive up the cost of oil and energy considerably, which is only going to make things worse.
Right now, this is the most dramatic escalation in the conflict between Iran and the U.S. that we've ever seen.
