This week, a brave New Mexican who voted for Trump three times went on C-SPAN to talk about the lies, racism, and corruption that he and his Admin are creating.  The tides are turning. We all feel it. America—it’s time to reclaim our country.
Ghislaine Maxwell is set to finally give a deposition in front of the Oversight Committee on Monday—and I will be there. We are being told that she is blanket pleading the 5th for every single question. What is she hiding and who is she protecting? We will not stop until we get to the truth.
Our shared history—no matter how difficult—is American history. We will not let the Trump Admin erase the histories, resilience, and triumphs of our Black, Indigenous, AAPI, Chicano, and LGBTQ+ communities. Because how we remember, and who we remember, matters.
My family was imprisoned behind barbed wire and armed guards by our own government. Not for what they did. But because of who they were. I was born in that internment camp. My family history lives with me every day. It drives me to fight for my neighbors—for their rights and for their dignity.
This Administration is robbing our country of its humanity.   Yesterday, we heard from the brothers of Renee Nicole Good, Marimar Martinez, Aliya Rahman, & Daniel Rascon, who were shot, brutalized, and detained by ICE and DHS. These are not isolated incidents. This is Administration policy.
Happy Black History Month! Today and every day we honor the generations of Black New Mexicans whose leadership, resilience, and advocacy have shaped our state and our nation. Because, Black History is New Mexico History! #BlackHistoryNM #BlackHistoryMonth2026 #NewMexicoHistory
Today we honor the anniversary of the 15th Amendment—which declared that the vote could not be denied or abridged on the basis of race, color, or servitude. The work continues to ensure that every person has access to the ballot box and that our country fulfills its promise of democracy.
The American people deserve the truth. The survivors deserve justice. And, no amount of gaslighting and lies in the Epstein case will stop us from getting to both. The dam is breaking, and we won’t stop until every file is released and everyone is held to account.
This is the Deputy Attorney General of the United States saying “it is not a crime to party with Epstein” in response to a question about prosecuting men who “had relations” with minors. Sir, yes it is a crime. And, prosecuting these crimes is your job.
As we mark World Wetlands Day, I’m thinking about how critical wetlands are to our communities here in New Mexico. These ecosystems protect our water, support wildlife, and help us adapt to a changing climate. We must continue working to protect them for generations to come!
Happy Monday, everyone! It’s a crazy week ahead. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening—from the government shutdown, to reining in DHS, the Epstein files, and good news out of TX with the release of Liam Ramos and some big Special Election wins—a LOT is going on. ⬇️
