Nothing quite like a Michigan blueberry in the summer! 🫐 Thanks to the folks at Jawor Brothers Blueberries for the informative and delicious tour this week. I’ve got your back as you feed America’s families this incredible superfood!
Disaster aid groups are not ICE. Nor should they be. Their main focus is on helping people after a disaster. There's a simple fix here — Congress needs to do its job and pass comprehensive immigration reform NOW. www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2025...
For over 90 years, Social Security has been delivering on the promise of a supported retirement. Local offices like our Knapp St. location help make it happen, despite monumental challenges. Grateful for these workers and what they do day in and day out for our community.
West Michigan, are you planning a trip to Washington, D.C. for fall break? Team Scholten would love to be of assistance if so! We can help arrange tours of all kinds, and we're hosting an Open House at our office as well! Give us a call at 202-225-3831 for more.
It is unconscionable for baby formula to be sitting at the border of Gaza as newborns and infants die of starvation. Sec. Rubio must heed Rep. Pressley and Rep. Pettersen's calls to pressure Israel to surge humanitarian aid, including ready-to-feed formula to families in Gaza.
I’m absolutely heartbroken to hear of the tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. These innocent children were just embarking on a new school year. They deserved to be safe in their school.
West Michigan-owned businesses like Madcap Coffee are feeling the pinch of Trump’s tariffs. I’m working hard every day to support MI-03 business owners as they navigate increasing costs and strained supply chains — they deserve stability, not chaos.
105 years ago, the 19th Amendment was ratified, and American women gained the right to vote nationwide. On Women’s Equality Day, we continue the fight for equality for women in every area of life so they can thrive, not just get by.
I’m thrilled that this project is finally moving forward. By acting now, we are ensuring that our state doesn’t lose out on critical federal funding or risk Grand Haven becoming unnavigable. I’m always working for you, West Michigan.
For months, dredging in the Grand Haven Harbor has been delayed from moving forward — potentially holding up supply chains and jacking up costs for consumers. After tireless advocacy from Team Scholten and our state and local partners, we’re finally able to say DREDGE, BABY, DREDGE!
It’s been 4 years since the House passed the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, a historic piece of voting rights legislation in the name of the late, great Civil Rights hero, Rep. John Lewis.
From supporting over 1 million homes as a backup power source to supporting Michigan’s transition to clean energy by complementing intermittent renewable sources like wind and solar, the Ludington Pump Plant is a crucial resource for our community.
I was so inspired to meet leaders and finalists of Ms. Wheelchair America in West Michigan! These powerful women are working hard to break down the architectural and attitudinal barriers that exist for the disabled population.
Trump’s looking for every way he can pay for his giveaways to Billionaire buddies, but we won’t let him do it on the backs of hardworking Michiganders. We’re fighting to put money back in Michiganders’ pockets where it belongs.
However, Trump’s EPA gutted the program funding, cutting millions of dollars intended for hardworking Michiganders. I’m proud to lead a group of Michigan colleagues in Congress to call for a reinstatement of the Solar for All dollars.
