The Solar for All program is an all-of-the-above approach to tackling energy costs and moving toward a greener economy. The program would have helped over 16,000 Michiganders cut their energy bills by an estimated 20% — that’s money in pockets.
Trump’s economic policies are bad for America and bad for West Michigan. Period. While Trump makes prices skyrocket, I’m fighting every day to lower costs and make life more affordable for all West Michiganders.
Great to meet with the Michigan Bankers Association, who work to expand access to capital and offer essential resources for our community, such as financial literacy, education, and networking events.
Although the lampreys don’t inflict harm to humans — like my brave son, Wes, who let one latch onto his hand earlier this week — they’re devastating for our fish population. The $2.1 million grant I secured is going to help rein in the harmful lamprey population and protect our fish! Read more here.
It was an honor to host leaders from the Kent District Library Talking Book & Braille Center’s in Washington last month to accept the 2025 Subregional Library/Advisory and Outreach Center of the Year Award.
West Michigan is proud of ALL of our young athletes — no matter the sport they excel at. Congrats to cup stacking champion, Will, from East Grand Rapids, on his accomplishments! Keep stacking them up! www.fox17online.com/news/local-n...
Wishing all West Michigan students a blessed school year! After another successful Blessing of the Students ceremony, I know that our young pupils are well-prepared to begin their academic year!
While President Trump’s policies make it harder for American businesses to grow, I’m proud to support the innovators and entrepreneurs in West Michigan who are cultivating a pro-business economy right here in our community.
We’re proud to have the U.S. Autonomous Robot here in MI-03, a technology that is working to expand American supply chain independence and keep our manufacturing on the cutting edge.
It’s time to do AWAY with the LAMPREYS. They’re killing our fish and decimating our ecosystems. That’s why we’re celebrating $2.1 million in grant dollars secured for the Great Lakes Fishery Commission to control sea lamprey in Lake Michigan–right here in Grand Rapids.
It was great to visit Paragon D&E, a family-owned, industry-leading machine specialty manufacturing firm based here in West Michigan. With innovation from companies like Paragon, Michigan is well-positioned to lead in the strategic manufacturing competition on a global scale.
Catherine’s Health is an incredible health center in our West Michigan community, and I was honored to help with the ribbon-cutting of their new facility on the Harrison Park Academy campus. Let’s continue to expand access to health care for ALL of our neighbors.
I’m deeply concerned about [tag] USDA canelling $500 million in deliveries to food banks, and am leading a group of 43 members of Congress to call on [tag] Sec. Rollins to fully reinstate this crucial funding and support American families, farmers, and food banks.
Millions of Americans rely on food banks to be able to put healthy food on their tables, and countless more will soon have to do so thanks to Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill.”
I’m all for increasing access to fresh, healthy foods, and the new Godwin Mercado is going to do just that for our Wyoming community! Today, we cut the ribbons on their new facility, which will welcome in local vendors, food trucks, a farmer’s market, and more.
