In the wealthiest country in the world, no family should have to choose between seeing a doctor or putting food on the table. But the Trump Administration’s policies have left hardworking Oregonians sicker, hungrier, and poorer.
GOOD NEWS: The Marion Polk Food Share will soon be able to store DOUBLE the amount of food! At a time when Republicans cut SNAP benefits from seniors, veterans, and children, food banks are a lifeline. I'll keep fighting to ensure our food banks have the resources to stay open and stocked 🍎
President Trump promised to end inflation, but Oregonians have spent on average $2,539 more on goods and services since he took office. That includes spending an average of… 💸$535 more for housing expenses 💸$334 more for transportation costs
Happy Earth Day, #OR06 🌎   The Trump Administration is on a mission to destroy our environment by rolling back protections that would keep our air, water, and planet clean.    I will keep fighting for our Earth so that our children and grandchildren can enjoy our natural wonders for years to come 🌳
I am saddened to hear about the passing of my House Committee on Agriculture colleague, Congressman David Scott.   He was a dedicated and tireless leader whose legacy as Ag Chairman will continue to impact future generations.   My thoughts are with his friends and family during this difficult time.
President Trump promised to “unleash American energy.” Since he took office, household electric bills have risen as much as 13% nationally, while residential natural gas prices have increased by 12%. Billionaires profit while hardworking families pay the price.
Rogers Machinery employs almost 200 people in #OR06. They reached out to my office because Trump’s tariffs are putting their operations at risk. I visited their Tigard headquarters to hear their story and share how I’m working to bring stability back for American manufacturers.
April is #MinorityHealthMonth, giving us a stark reminder of the countless inequities that continue to shape who receives care and who may get left behind. I am fighting to ensure that everyone can access the high-quality, affordable, and culturally relevant care they can trust. That's my promise.
Happy National Deaf History Month! Did you know that the Oregon School for the Deaf is right here in #OR06? This month and every month, we celebrate the history and achievements of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community and recommit to breaking down barriers together.
