“We know you don’t care about us, but you’re making it plain and simple now.” That’s what Rebecca said about the Trump admin after she and her husband can no longer afford the rising costs of Affordable Care Act coverage.
Almost half of all DACA recipients call California their home. They’re our neighbors, coworkers, family, and friends.  As we celebrate the 14th anniversary of #DACA, it’s time to provide them with permanent protection and a pathway to citizenship. #HomeIsHere
Americans should be able to access their health records in real time to make the best decisions for their own health care. Providers need resources to make this happen — but they also need to be held in check to prevent unnecessary hurdles and financial gain from the process.
The House voted NOT to extend Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. This was a NO vote. Trump and his administration shouldn’t have unchecked power to spy on Americans, and the head of our intelligence agencies need to actually be qualified.
Republicans know Americans are tired of Trump’s failing policies that make life more expensive — so they’re trying to rig our maps and cheat us out of fair elections. @housedemocrats.bsky.social and Americans across the country are fighting back to protect our voting rights.
Trump would rather give $70 billion to ICE and Border Patrol to terrorize our communities, than help Americans who are hurting from high prices. That $70 billion can help millions of households, make sure Americans have a roof over their heads, and kids don’t have to go hungry.
Shafi, a taxi driver for seniors, told me Trump’s war on Iran has raised gas prices so high seniors can’t afford rides. And he has to put in more hours just to get the same pay. We need to end this war on Iran and start bringing costs down.
Children and families shouldn’t have to breathe dirty air caused by nearby railroad operations. The LOCOMOTIVES Act would give companies a free pass. Congress needs to support innovation that reduces our railroad pollution, not hamstrings states that want to lead the way.
Just voted NO on Republicans’ Agriculture Funding Bill because it cuts access to fresh fruits and vegetables for women, children, and infants. The government should help put healthy food on the table for Americans in need, NOT take it away.
RESTORE 👏 THE 👏 HEALTH 👏 CARE 👏 TAX 👏 CREDITS. 👏 If Trump & Republicans had worked with @housedemocrats.bsky.social to extend the tax credits before they expired last year, hundreds of thousands of Californians wouldn’t have had to give up their health insurance bc they couldn’t afford it anymore.
Secured federal funding to improve safety and traffic flow along our primary routes to schools, parks, and afterschool activities in #Carson. I’ll continue to fight to invest in our communities, especially as the Trump admin tries to take even more funding away from our families.
The extreme SCOTUS majority severely weakened the Voting Rights Act, hurting fair representation — so I held a roundtable in #Carson with African American community leaders about the assault on our democracy and our fight to make sure our votes count.
