Very worried that Trump will send in an ICE surge to Ohio for mass deportations of Haitians who came here LEGALLY.
Instead of ICE raids and mass deportations, we need to extend TPS status.
I joined @wassermanschultz.house.gov’s amendment to the spending bill to extend TPS for Haitians.
He's saying the quiet part out loud folks...
Trump’s agenda is a disaster and the country is over it.
That’s why his plan has been to rig the maps, spread more lies, and now, take over elections.
Our democracy is under threat.

Proud to honor the life of Alex Pretti tonight with our brothers and sisters in AFGE and Cleveland AFL CIO at Stokes VA.
Alex was a VA nurse who dedicated his life to others.
We carry on his legacy by demanding justice and an end to ICE abuse.
We don’t need an ICE surge in Ohio. We need to extend TPS status for Haitians, hold ICE accountable, impeach Noem, repeal the ICE slush fund, and stop the ICE violence.
This is planned cruelty, because conditions in Haiti remain extremely dangerous - the risk of extreme violence and famine remains high there. Trump wants to deport people to one of the most dangerous places on Earth.
Trump’s immigration policies are a moral failure and a public safety threat. Ohio communities, churches, and schools shouldn’t have to “brace” for a surge of federal agents with a political agenda.
Trump’s Department of Injustice has:
➡️ Arrested Journalist Don Lemon
➡️ Blocked Investigations into the Killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti
➡️ Refuses to Release the Epstein Files
Unconstitutional, immoral and 100% unjust.
It’s time to wake up to what the Dictator on Day One is doing.
Don Lemon’s work is protected by the First Amendment.
This arrest is chilling, outrageous, and wrong.
He should be released immediately. Trump DOJ is completely out of control.
New work requirements are coming to SNAP due to Trump's Big Ugly Law, aka tax cuts for the rich, benefit cuts for everyday people.

Trump’s agenda is lethal.
2025 was the deadliest year of ICE operations in over 20 years – and this year they’re on pace for even more deaths.
After voting NO on funding and calling for Noem’s impeachment, I'm joining colleagues demanding answers about these alarming numbers.
4. This is the 2025 Playbook: take away legal status abruptly to create an excuse for mass deportation.
This is reckless. It’s cruel. And because Trump’s ICE is involved – it’s a public safety threat.
I signed my name to an amicus brief to block this move in federal court.

3. Now we’re hearing warnings of an upcoming ICE surge in Springfield to deport Haitians who did everything legally yet are having the rug ripped out from under them.
4/5
2. Now the Trump Administration plans to revoke their Temporary Protected Status, even though Haiti is still dangerously unstable. TPS was a promise: follow the law, work legally, build a life. That promise is being broken.
3/5
1. Donald Trump and JD Vance spent 2024 smearing Haitian families in Springfield with racist lies. They knew full well most were here legally, working hard, and playing by the rules, but chose to peddle lies for political benefit.
2/5
Thousands of Haitians living in Ohio are here legally. But now, Trump is stripping them of their legal status in the same week that he plans to deploy ICE to Springfield, leaving them with no defense. Here is the Trump Playbook:

In 2022, my office secured federal funding for the Food Bank’s Community Resource Center and Food Market. I’m grateful to everyone who makes it happen.
It’s sobering to see how many people rely on the food bank. It’s a reminder that we must be there for each other.
(2/2)
Brutal cold, rising prices, and cuts to SNAP have made this a hard winter for a lot of folks in NE Ohio.
This week, I visited the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to meet with staff, thank volunteers, and hear more about how people are doing.

Trump LIED when he said he had nothing to do with Project 2025.
He LIED when he said he wouldn't execute its agenda.
Now, ICE/DHS- at his direction- is carrying out Project 2025's anti-immigrant, anti-rights agenda line by line.
Surprising? I think not.
