As a champion for higher education, I look for ways we can reduce barriers for students to pursue their career goals. I met with @calpolypomona.bsky.social this week and we had a great conversation about the university’s strong presence in our community.
Firefighters work around the clock to keep our community safe. I proudly presented a $250,000 check for a new West Covina Fire Station that will meet firefighter safety requirements, so firefighters can continue providing essential, life-saving emergency services to residents and businesses.
The Cal Poly Pomona Heroes for Horses program specializes in helping student veterans learn new skills after returning from service. I enjoyed checking out the stables housing these beautiful horses and hearing the impact of this unique experience on student veterans.
I proudly presented the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments with a $250,000 check to lead construction for a high-quality transportation network across the East San Gabriel Valley, supporting needed safety improvements and increasing access to outdoor activities.
The Monrovia Police Department will get an upgraded radio communication system and IT tools, after I presented officers with a $1,031,000 check to modernize their communication center, fulfilling a critical gap for the agency with regional public safety resources.
This financial investment will allow the city to extend the bikeway, upgrade accessibility ramps, and improve roadways, promoting better access to hiking trails, camping areas, soccer fields, regional parks, and the equestrian center.
Experience all San Dimas Canyon has to offer! I presented a $850,000 check for the City of San Dimas Canyon Road Multi-modal Transportation Improvement Project to increase access to recreational facilities and outdoor activities.
This week, I presented a $1,031,000 check to the City of La Verne to modernize technology that will enable first responders to efficiently serve the community. I’m proud we delivered critical resources.
Park improvements are coming to La Puente Park, with an $820,000 investment enhancing community access to the neighborhood park by promoting pedestrian safety through updated security lighting and new interactive playground equipment.
These deranged and deadly ramblings are not consistent with the behavior of a Commander in Chief. We cannot have someone that acts so unstable at the helm of the world’s largest military.
Threateaning to decimate an entire country isn’t a war tactic, it’s a war crime and a call for genocide. No one—no matter their affiliation—should support vile attacks on civillians.
While I am glad the Colonel is going to be back home with his family, this didn’t have to happen, and we lost nearly $300 million in equipment—no matter how old it is.
