This bill would fund all of Homeland Security with the exception of ICE and CBP, which is what Democrats have been advocating for.
Instead, they chose to pass a bill that never had a chance of passing. They could’ve ended the shutdown last week by doing this earlier. Unbelievable!
The dysfunction of House Republicans is beyond belief. Their leader Speaker Johnson has now agreed to the homeland security funding bill, that the Senate passed before the recess.
The President’s address to the nation last night was about as clear as mud. That is why the price of oil went up again today. www.nbcnews.com/business/mar...
May the next eight days remind us of the importance of fighting tyranny everywhere and may all those celebrating have a joyous Passover. Chag Pesach Same'ach!
Tonight, families in California's 31st congressional district and across the world will gather around the Seder table to mark the beginning of Passover and celebrate the triumph of freedom over oppression.
This is Donald Trump’s and Stephen Miller’s attempt to say who can and can’t be a citizen. The Constitution is clear—and the Court’s decision this summer will be critical.
Today, the Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments on Trump’s attempt to strip citizenship from children born here. This would leave up to 4.8 million children stateless in the only country they’ve ever known.
First, he tried to do it altering congressional districts. Now, he is trying to say who can and can’t vote and nationalize elections.
This is nothing more than a power grab and an attempt to throw chaos in to our elections. The American people won’t stand for this.
Trump and Republican policies have benefited the rich and powerful. They are unpopular with the American people. He knows they are headed for a loss in the midterms. So he is trying to cling on to power by rigging the elections.
Everyone should feel safe to live as their true selves. In the wake of relentless attacks on the transgender community, Transgender Day of Visibility has never been more important.
My prayers are with the Deputy’s family, friends, and colleagues as we mourn this tragic loss.
I’m heartbroken about the passing of a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy, while he was participating in the Baker to Vegas Relay Cup. This Deputy was stationed in San Dimas and his loss will be felt by the entire San Dimas community and the 31st Congressional District.
Instead of fixing the problem, he chose to kick the can down the road again with another 60 day patch fix.
He had the votes to do the right thing, but instead he wanted to play politics with workers' paychecks and people’s time.
Hardworking TSA agents have missed two paychecks, leaving families without money to buy groceries.
Exacerbating the issue, Americans traveling are stuck in hours-long lines with no end in sight, because Speaker Johnson refused to put a bill on the floor.
TSA agents aren’t getting paid and tens of thousands of Americans are stuck in hours long security lines.
The House could end this TODAY. But Speaker Johnson doesn’t want to.
Some of the best individuals I have served with have been women. It is ridiculous that their value to our country in uniform is continuously being questioned by this administration.
This morning, I joined my colleagues to introduce the WARRIOR Act, a bill to codify the role of women in combat and protect women’s ability to serve through the creation of true gender-neutral standards.
I was proud to be honored with EANGUS Eagle Award for my bill, the Duty Status Reform Act.I started this work at the Pentagon, and I made it my top priority when I got to Congress. Our servicemembers deserve better, and I am committed to delivering for them.
The Trump administration has a duty to keep Congress and the American people informed.
I am deeply concerned about the lack of transparency from the Trump admin & the DoD about the ongoing war in Iran.
The American people have a right to know what is going on. www.nytimes.com/live/2026/03...
This year, nine schools across San Gabriel Valley were recognized as 2026 California Distinguished Schools. Congratulations to these inspiring and exemplary schools.
