I’m proud to have secured +$3 million in community project funding for the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority. I advocated for this critical funding to ensure our community continues to have access to clean drinking water.
With the Congressional Baseball Game just a few months away, I had to take some advice from the best, the Charter Oaks Baseball team! Congratulations to the team for their recent Valley Vista League championship win!
This National Small Business Week, I visited Lord Empanada in Monrovia and learned about how owner and founder Ryan Lopez turned his home kitchen recipes into a thriving local restaurant driven by family and community.
The American people are fed up with Trump’s illegal war on Iran and the sky-high gas prices it’s causing. I joined @CNN.com today to call for an end to the president’s expensive and unpopular war.
Today I’m giving a shoutout to Mr. Rodriguez, a teacher at Azusa High School. He is devoted to helping his students learn and grow in the classroom, and his leadership has made a positive impact in our community. Thank you Mr Rodriguez for empowering our students to believe in themselves!
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! I am so grateful for all our incredible teachers in southern California that are working tirelessly to educate the next generation of leaders!
Congratulations to Azusa High School student Cassidy Nord on winning the CA-31 Congressional Art Competition! Today and everyday I will fight to expand our military members’ access to mental health care, including PTSD support, suicide prevention, and therapy and counseling. We must always be there for our nation’s heroes who sacrifice so much for our country and protect our freedoms.
This May we observe Military Mental Health Awareness Month. Seeking help is a sign of strength and no servicemember or veteran should ever have to struggle alone. Last year, I was honored to launch the Military Mental Health Caucus.
The U.S.S. Ford was deployed at sea longer than any other modern U.S. aircraft carrier. During Wednesday’s House Armed Services Committee hearing, I asked Secretary Hegseth why. I’m glad the ship and crew are finally on their way home.
