76% of Americans want to keep or expand Medicaid because they know it helps pay for their health care. But Republicans are trying to make accessing essential care harder – even kicking current beneficiaries off their plan.
The level of incompetence shown by the Sec. of Defense & National Security Advisor is staggering. There must be accountability from the top down.
Pete Hegseth & Michael Waltz must resign, & there must be an investigation into whether DNI Director Gabbard & CIA Director Ratcliffe committed perjury.
Someone needs to lose their job over the staggering level of incompetence shown by senior officials of the Trump administration.
Whether it is Secretary Hegseth or National Security Advisor Waltz, there MUST be accountability.
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are gutting the Social Security Administration and causing chaos for the 1 in 6 Coloradans who rely on their Social Security benefits to pay the bills.
I am fighting to stop these cuts and protect Social Security.
This report is beyond alarming. There must be accountability for this dangerous breach and incompetence that is putting our national security at risk.
My full statement on Trump’s order to eliminate the Department of Education.
Now negotiations must resume immediately to stop further violence, release all remaining hostages, and ensure that both Israelis and Palestinians can live with lasting freedom and security.
Too many innocent lives have been lost in the Middle East since Hamas’ brutal attack against our ally Israel in October 2023.
The ceasefire agreed to in January paved a path forward to peace.
See my statement with @joeneguse.bsky.social, @crow.house.gov and @pettersen.house.gov on Jeanette Vizguerra ⬇️
🚨 Fantastic news: a federal judge just ordered Trump and Elon to restore USAID’s functionality. The judge said their attack on USAID “likely violated the United States Constitution in multiple ways.”
What Trump, Elon and their DOGE cronies are doing is illegal, and the courts are stopping them.
As the top Democrat on the Health Subcommittee, I am fighting tooth and nail to stop their extreme agenda.
Taking away Americans’ health care is a nonstarter.
House Republicans are selling out their constituents to give tax cuts to billionaires, like Elon Musk.
They passed a budget that will force massive cuts to Medicaid, impacting tens of thousands of Denverites.
Donald Trump is attempting to use a 227-year-old law to carry out his cruel and reckless immigration policy, even though a federal judge blocked his initial order.
Our immigrant community in Colorado deserves more than the fear and bigotry that Trump and his cronies are stoking nationwide.
I’m deeply saddened to hear that former Rep. Nita Lowey passed away. She was a great friend and colleague, a champion for the people of New York, and a fierce defender of reproductive freedom.
My prayers are with her friends and family during this sad time.
There will be more fights, and I will stand firm against them, but caving to this fight will only greenlight Trump and Musk’s extreme policies and cause more harm for the American people.
I’m so proud to be a House Democrat since we held firm against Republicans’ partisan funding bill.
Democrats in Congress must persevere and continue to resist Trump & Musk’s destructive agenda.
He will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and everyone who knew him.
Raul Grijalva was a forceful advocate for this nation’s lands. When he became Chairman of the Natural Resources Committee, I asked him to come on one of my trips to the wilderness areas I am championing. He said, “Love, I don’t need to see it to protect it.”
That was Raul.
I called out the administration in letters and in committee over their unjust action to purge civil servants, and I will carry on this fight to hold them accountable.
We will continue to win these cases because what Trump and Elon are doing is illegal.
