(1/2) When Trump & Republicans forced through their Big Bad Bill, my Democratic colleagues and I warned that people would lose access to health care, especially the most vulnerable.
Trump & House Republicans just forced through their bill to fund ICE and CBP for the next 3 years. Their latest move gives these rogue agencies more than $70 billion of your taxpayer dollars – on top of the $140 billion they gave them last year. I voted HELL NO. ICE must be defunded and dismantled
Censorship and intimidation have no place in science. Discovery, innovation, and the millions of patients who are waiting for cures demand curiosity-driven science, free from political interference.
Director Bhattacharya, other HHS and NIH leadership, and the leadership of the American Diabetes Association must explain what their roles were in the ejection of Dr. Kahn and his colleagues, and anyone involved in what appears to be a blatant act of political censorship must be held accountable.
Director Bhattacharya promised to foster open dialogue and debate in science. Instead, he is presiding over an environment where dissent has no place and scientists who dare criticize the regime are cast out.
(2/2) Our country has lost too much to this war–it has cost us lives, tens of billions of dollars, and higher gas and grocery prices here at home. Now the Senate must do its job and pass the resolution immediately.
(2/2) background checks. The American people overwhelmingly support commonsense gun safety measures. It’s past time for the Republican majority to put these bills on the Floor and let us vote.
(1/2) 58% of American adults have experienced gun violence in their lifetime, or else they have a loved one who has experienced this tragedy. Gun violence is a public health crisis, and we must end it. That’s why I am fighting to ban high-capacity gun magazines, ban assault weapons, and enhance
We’re 94 days into Trump’s illegal war with Iran, and he has no idea what he is doing. The American people have been forced into another forever war, and Trump’s recklessness is driving up everyday costs for you and your family. This war needs to end immediately.
The Trump administration continues to dehumanize immigrants. Their rhetoric is sickening & will endanger immigrant communities across our country. I stand with all who are seeking to make a better life for their families in the US, even as Trump & his cronies advance their cruel immigration agenda.
Happy Pride Month, Denver! As a founding member of the Congressional Equality Caucus, I’ll always fight to ensure that every American can live and thrive as their true and authentic self.
(2/2) At a time when too many families are facing rising grocery costs and cuts to SNAP benefits, programs like Beyond Hunger are stepping up to make sure that Denverites do not fall through the cracks. I’m proud to have secured $350,000 in federal funding for such an impactful expansion.
Trump is using the power of the Executive branch to target Denver. This move is more of the same weaponization we’ve seen from this administration against blue cities. These plans will only harm our state’s economy and stoke division in our communities. www.reuters.com/legal/govern...
It is always a joy visiting Pacific Mercantile, which earned Westword's Best Asian Market! This family has been serving Denver's Japanese community since right after WWII and four generations later they're still going strong. What a legacy. Congratulations to the Noguchi and Nagai family!
