Starbucks violated NYC’s Fair Workweek Law over half a million times—forcing employees into unstable schedules that make childcare and second jobs nearly impossible to manage. (1/2)
We are in contact with both ICE and USCIS regarding the status and the necessary steps to ensure that they are reunited with their family in accordance with the law.
Cases like this do nothing to improve public safety. (2/2)
My constituent from Corona was taken by ICE without any explanation. The family is following the proper LEGAL process to apply for their green card. My team and I are actively monitoring their case. (1/2)
As we learn more about the events that unfolded, I remain committed to keeping families across our city safe and to supporting efforts to improve transparency between federal agents and our communities. (2/2)
The use of force by ICE agents on Canal Street today puts New Yorkers and our police officers at risk. Chaos like this does nothing to make our communities safer. (1/2)
Small businesses are the backbone of communities like Queens. The President's tariffs are driving their day-to-day costs and forcing them to up their prices just to stay afloat.

Happy Thanksgiving, Queens! Each and every year, I'm thankful for the opportunity to represent my hardworking neighbors in Congress. From my family to yours, I'm wishing everyone a safe, warm, and blessed holiday.
The GOP promised to lower costs on day one, but Americans are only seeing their grocery bills rise.
Thanksgiving dinner will cost 10% more this year.
Families in Queens shouldn't be pinching pennies to put food on the table while the President builds a ballroom & updates golf courses.
No one should be subject to these dangerous & dehumanizing conditions.
I'm demanding answers from Secretary Noem and Department of Homeland Security on what actions they are taking to ensure detainees are treated with dignity, humanity, and in full accordance with the law.
News reports & lawsuits detailing how female detainees in ICE facilities across the US are being held in unsafe & unhygienic conditions are deeply troubling. Accounts of detainees being forced to wear blood-soaked clothing, unable to shower are appalling.
Deeply saddened to learn that two National Guardsmen were shot near the White House this afternoon. As we continue to learn more, my thoughts are with their families and loved ones.
This senseless violence has no place in our country. Everyone responsible must be held accountable.
The US is already facing a health care workforce shortage. This Administration’s move to strip nursing of its professional degree status would make nursing school even more unaffordable and out of reach for American students.
This could be devastating to our health care system and patients.
I'm glad to see that these baseless charges against AG James were dropped.
This is a major victory for the Rule of Law and the American people.

The Administration is backing off plans to kick thousands of seniors off their disability benefits.
Americans said it loud and clear: hands off our Social Security.
Social Security is a lifeline for millions of families & I won't stop fighting for it.
These are the same contraceptives used by millions of women & girls in the US.
This Administration is trying to incinerate them. Now, we’re learning up to 20 more trucks of supplies may be unusable because they were mishandled.
This is unacceptable & a threat to reproductive freedom everywhere.
This is dangerous & disturbing.
I intro'd my ICE Badge Visibility Act – which requires agents to show their badges & affiliations, like many law enforcement agencies already do, to keep community members safe & ensure accountability.
Transparency like this is essential to protect our communities.
