Happy Cinco de Mayo, Queens! Today we celebrate the rich culture, deep roots, and lasting contributions of Mexican Americans in our community and across the country. From music and food to leadership and community, your impact shapes our nation every day.
This is the kind of relief families need right now, and I’m proud to support it.
Childcare costs are out of control. No parent should have to choose between working or getting an education & staying home because care is too expensive.
Dems’ Affordability Agenda would create universal childcare, capping costs at 7% of income — with many families paying no more than $10 a day.
Great stopping by SelfHelp's Austin Street Senior Center to connect with local seniors, answer questions, and hear what’s on their minds!
Need help with Social Security, the VA, IRS, or another federal agency? My team is ready to help—call us at (718) 358-MENG.
I was proud to secure more than $4M in federal funding for critical upgrades to firehouses in Forest Hills & Maspeth. I won't stop fighting to make sure our firefighters have all the resources they need to keep New Yorkers safe. (2/2)
Happy International Firefighters Day! In Queens, we're grateful everyday to the brave FDNY firefighters who put their lives on the line every day to protect our community. (1/2)
My full statement on the antisemitic graffiti in Forest Hills and Rego Park👇
I’ll keep pushing with my colleagues in Congress to restore this status and ensure students can afford to enter these professions.
I’m disappointed that U.S. Department of Education ignored calls to keep nursing, OT, PT, and other critical fields classified as professional degrees. This decision slashes federal loan support for post-bacc students and will worsen workforce shortages.
Happy International Workers Day, Queens!
Strong unions make strong communities.
On #MayDay I’m proud to recognize the achievements of the labor movement and the hardworking men and women behind it. I will always stand with them in the fight for better wages, benefits, and safer working conditions.
As Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, I will never stop fighting to improve the lives of #AANHPI families in my Queens community and in so many others across the country. (2/2)
Happy Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Queens!
Our #AANHPI history IS American history and deserves to be told for generations to come. (1/2)
Millions of Americans are barely getting by.
Prices are up on everything—groceries, gas, health care, utilities—and Trump’s tariffs are making it even worse.
While billionaires cash in and corporations get handouts, working families are stuck paying the price.
To the Republicans who voted to include rotisserie chicken in SNAP—but not hot soup or other prepared food:

Republicans already agreed to fund DHS without new money for ICE. Now they’ve walked it back — and funding is stalled.
The Administration’s funding for TSA is about to run out.
Federal workers can’t afford another missed paycheck.
Republicans need to honor their agreement and fund DHS now.
I’m leading legislation to reverse these policies—we won’t stop fighting attacks on women and girls, marginalized communities, and LGBTQ+ people. (2/2)
The Trump Administration just rolled out an Expanded Global Gag Rule that conditions lifesaving aid on adoption of extreme far-right, anti-abortion, anti-equality policies.
This dangerous agenda doubles down on USAID cuts, puts millions at risk, and threatens our national security. (1/2)
When voting rights are under attack, so is the foundation of our nation. Democrats will use every tool available to defend the fundamental right to vote. (2/2)
The Supreme Court's ruling is a devastating setback for fair and equal representation in America, especially for Black and minority voters.
Americans marched, bled, and fought to secure the Voting Rights Act. Each time it is eroded, Americans lose faith in the power of their vote. (1/2)
