When the State Department of Health refused to hold another hearing in Long Branch after RWJ Barnabas’s hearing left hundreds of residents out in the cold, I fought to secure a virtual option so residents could make their voices heard.
Everyone deserves access to life-saving medical care. That’s why the Long Branch community came together today to make their voices heard against the closure of Monmouth Medical Center hospital in Long Branch.
The nation’s vaccine advisory panel is meeting today to consider Secretary Kennedy’s latest proposals.   Let me be clear: children will needlessly die and suffer if they approve RFK, Jr’s agenda. I’m urging the panel to think twice and protect access to vaccines.
It’s shameful that Republicans’ only policy platform seems to be denying the American people a workable cost of living—including affordable health care. People like Tom are only going to suffer as a result.
Tom Moomjy, a constituent of mine, is in Washington today to tell his story. Like so many Americans, he’s facing a set of impossible choices: his health insurance premium is about to go up by $700 per month because House Republicans are refusing to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits.
This rollback will drive up gas costs for consumers who are already struggling to make ends meet, but once again, POTUS and his Republican enablers are more concerned with lining the pockets of their fossil fuel friends than providing relief to hardworking Americans.
And now, today, Republicans are pushing forward bills in @energycommerce.bsky.social that would raise your energy bills even more.   @houserepublicans.bsky.social aren’t just ignoring the affordability crisis – they’re outright making it worse.
Yesterday Trump called the issue of affordability a “con” by Democrats.   He should tell that to the millions of families across the country struggling to make ends meet.
I'll be testifying in person at the State Health Planning Board hearing in Trenton. But, you can also attend or speak virtually before the State Board at the Long Branch Senior Center, 85 Second Avenue, beginning at 10 AM.
Everyone deserves access to a life-saving acute care hospital. Tomorrow is your LAST CHANCE to make your voices heard against RWJ Barnabas's closure of Monmouth Medical Center hospital in Long Branch.
Fired. Rehired. Fired again. Trump is causing chaos for FEMA employees who are blowing the whistle on the administration gutting disaster response. It should be clear by now that Trump doesn't care about keeping our communities safe—he only cares about political loyalty.
Facts don't care about your feelings, Secretary Kennedy. Hepatitis B infections among children and teens dropped 99% when the CDC recommended vaccines be given to newborns.
NEW: In an interview w/ me, new chair of ACIP says they are planning to vote on ending practice of vaccinating all newborns for hepatitis B and to examine whether childhood immunization schedule is behind rise of allergies and autoimmune disorders. www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...
RWJBarnabas isn’t just stranding the residents of Long Branch—it’s stranding its OWN EMPLOYEES.    By closing Monmouth Medical Center hospital in Long Branch, they’re sentencing employees to unworkable commutes and layoffs—and Long Branch residents to a SHELL of the medical facilities they once had.
