Congratulations to my former staffer, Dan Chulak, on his marriage to Silvia Ruelas, who he met while they were both working in Congress! It was a beautiful day in Long Branch, and I was so glad to be part of the celebration. Mazel tov to the newlyweds!
Working Americans are suffering because of Trump’s policies.   Instead of lowering costs, Trump is building a multimillion-dollar gold-plated ballroom to host his billionaire buddies.
Congratulations to Fair Haven on your new community center! I was proud to secure $1.25 million in community project funding for this project, and I was honored to be here at the ribbon cutting this morning.
It’s DAY 26 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT.   The holidays are fast approaching, and instead of making them easier for the American people to celebrate, Trump and Republicans are raising health care costs for MILLIONS of Americans.
I will be leading a community information session at the time and place of the original hearing, to inform the community of the devastating impacts if the hospital closes. It’ll be at the Ocean Place Resort starting at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29.
RWJBarnabas and the Murphy administration rushed a public hearing on their plan to close Monmouth Medical Center hospital in Long Branch without the legally required notice. They’ve now POSTPONED that hearing.
It’s DAY 25 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT. NOBODY should have to choose between feeding their families and keeping their health care. Republicans are forcing millions of Americans to make that choice—and they shut the government down to keep it that way.
It's DAY 24 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT.   Millions of people across America are checking their insurance premiums and are AGHAST as they see them double or triple. That's no accident—Republicans shut the government down, and those numbers are going to tick up as a result.
“TrumpRx” is another example of this administration’s phony populism: Trump’s friends and families benefit, while consumers still struggle.   I’m demanding transparency to ensure this scam actually lowers drug costs for the Americans and doesn’t enrich Trump’s friends and family.
It’s DAY 23 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT. If Republicans don’t extend health care tax credits, millions of people will become UNINSURED. But Donald Trump and House Republicans just pitched a fit and shut down the government because they’d rather do ANYTHING than lower costs for you.
It's DAY 22 of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT.   House Republicans STILL refuse to meet and STILL refuse to make your health care more affordable, even though people are getting letters about their premiums soaring and face record high costs while shopping for insurance.
Today, I met with workers from the Social Security Administration who are diligently working without pay to keep Social Security benefits moving. Democrats are ready to negotiate to end this health care crisis so we can pay our public servants.
The Republican Shutdown is leaving THOUSANDS of public servants tirelessly working for the American people without a pay check. It's outrageous, and it's all because Republicans would rather strip health care from millions of working people than fund the government.
The Republican Shutdown is making it more difficult for you to renew your flood insurance. Your home's safety shouldn't be at risk because of Republicans screwing around in politics.
Republicans shut down the government and somehow decided that wasn’t enough pain. Now they’re freezing flood insurance while pushing cuts to your health care. You almost have to admire the consistency: if there’s a way to make life harder for ordinary people, they’ll find it.
