Congress should stand united against this ongoing illegal action, but Republicans continue to sit on the sidelines as Trump kills jobs and increases monthly energy bills. I’ll continue to demand answers.
The Trump Admin continues to steal billions of dollars in promised funds to communities in New Jersey and other states that Trump lost last year.
I joined my New Jersey colleagues in demanding the Department of Homeland Security and facility administrators at Delaney Hall ensure humane treatment for visitors of detainees. Everyone deserves the basic respect of being able to safely visit their loved ones.
Republicans may have shut the government down, but my offices are still open, and I'm committed to working for you as your representative in Washington. My offices are here to help with any questions you may have or any assistance you may need with a federal agency.
It’s DAY TWO of the REPUBLICAN RETREAT.
Republicans shut the government down so they could drive your health care prices THROUGH THE ROOF. The ball is in their court.
To all observing Yom Kippur across NJ and around the world: I wish you an easy fast and a meaningful day of reflection. G’mar Chatima Tovah—may you be sealed for good in the Book of Life!
Any partisan move to stop this project is an attack on New Jersey residents and the economic engine of our region. I, and others in the delegation, will fight this with everything we’ve got.
Congressional Democrats fought for years to secure this federal funding because the existing tunnel is crumbling. This is about whether trains run safely and on time, whether workers get to their jobs, whether businesses can function, and whether the American economy keeps moving.
He has a history of obstruction against this project that’s the backbone of the entire Northeast Corridor and essential to the daily lives of hundreds of thousands New Jersey commuters and millions more across the region.
Halting the Hudson Tunnel Project over Trump’s fabricated culture war will sabotage thousands of NJ commuters.

We don’t mince words in Jersey.

Republicans created a health care crisis and now are on vacation hours before a government shutdown.

Combined with the largest cuts to Medicaid in American history, they’re making life unaffordable for thousands of New Jerseyans, and they’re willing to shut the government down to force their cruel agenda through. I’m not bowing down—the ball is in their court.
Republicans want to double, or even **TRIPLE** the amount you pay for your health insurance. That’s going to put basic, lifesaving care out of reach for thirty thousand people in my district.
While Republicans vacation, @housedemocrats.bsky.social are in DC fighting to stop **their** shutdown and keep your health costs down.
It was never about lowering costs. Not only does Trump's Big Ugly Bill make it harder for you to keep the lights on, it'll make it harder for the local governments that provide many of your everyday basic needs as well.
UPDATE on the Republican Shutdown
Heartbreaking to hear the news of yet another shooting, this time in Michigan at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This is yet another painful reminder that we must do everything we can to end the epidemic of gun violence and push forward commonsense gun safety legislation.
I bought an artistic rendition of my father and uncle’s car lot sign from bygone days by John Mathias at the Long Branch Uptown Festival. Great music and food from our Latino community.
