I joined the Shia Muslim Foundation for their Safety and Security Seminary just a few days ago to address the safety challenges mosques and places of worship face here in Maryland. We will continue to stand with our Muslim neighbors not just with our words, but with action.

As we mourn this senseless loss of life, we are once again reminded of the need for Congress to pass commonsense gun-safety legislation, unequivocally condemn Islamophobia in all forms, and boost funding for nonprofit security grants.
My heart is with the Muslim community following this horrific attack on San Diego’s largest mosque. In this nation, everyone has the right to worship freely and without fear.
The American people deserve economic policies that lower costs and make their lives better – not fund the President’s vanity projects.
But instead of introducing policies to make life more affordable for the American people, Republicans would rather force through a budget that spends $1 billion in taxpayer dollars on President Trump’s ballroom.
Every day, I hear from neighbors who are struggling to keep up with the rising cost of food, gas, doctor's appointments, BGE bills, and more.
We need our young people to keep leaning in and participating so this great experiment can continue for another 250 years, so I hope you apply by Wednesday, June 10th at 11:59 PM to make your voice heard!

🇺🇸 This year is the 250th anniversary of our great nation – that’s 250 years that We the People have had a say in this radical experiment of self-governance. That's why I want to hear how you are continuing to be part of this great democratic experiment.
One of my favorite parts of the job is hearing directly from our youngest constituents on their creative bill ideas and answering their thoughtful questions!
I made it back from a long week in DC on Friday in time to speak to my niece Orla’s fifth-grade class at Germantown Elementary School for Career Day! We covered all aspects of my job as their Congresswoman, from how I vote on the Floor to legislation I’m working on to protect the Bay & much more.
To date, #TeamElfreth has closed over 2,000 constituent cases and returned over $2.5 million directly to constituents, so whatever issue you’re experiencing, you can always reach out to a member of our team at (410) 832 -8890 or check out the link below for more information on casework assistance.
My team and I are here for you on your hardest days. Every day, we help neighbors who need help with federal agencies like Carolyn.

🪖Our second Service Academy Nomination Forum is less than one week away! Dozens of high school students came out to our Howard County Forum, eager to learn more about the nominations process.
In Congress, I will continue to show up for those who serve with the same commitment that they have shown to all of us.
Today is Armed Forces Day, a time to honor all those who have answered the call to serve our country. As the daughter and granddaughter of Army, Navy, and Air Force veterans, I know the sacrifice our men and women in uniform – and their families – make each and every day.
We’ll be joined by state, local, business, and non-profit partners ready to answer your questions about how our offices can support you. If you’re interested, you can RSVP and find more information at the link below:

As your member of Congress, my job is not just to be your voice in Washington – it’s also about being on the ground, helping our neighbors on their hardest days. That’s why my team and I will be hosting our first #MD03 Constituent Resources Fair on Thursday, May 28, at 5:30 PM in Howard County.
We discussed their evolving role in regional security operations, the importance of securing our waterways for trade and national security, opportunities for us to collaborate on maritime operations, and more.
