Nancy Pelosi didn’t just make history — she wrote it.
As the first woman to wield the Speaker’s gavel, she led the House through generational crises with skill and grit. I was lucky to have a front-row seat to watch the most powerful woman in American history at work for the people.

My heart is with the Chen family, who tirelessly advocated for his return and the return of all hostages still in Gaza.
May his memory be a blessing.
The president can’t rewrite the Constitution because of a so-called “emergency.”
I’ve helped lead the fight in Congress to stand up to this illegal end-run around congressional authority. Now it’s in the Supreme Court’s hands.
I’m in the hearing room as the Supreme Court considers if Trump can use “emergency” powers to impose sweeping tariffs.
I've led the fight in Congress to stop this abuse & keep costs down for Arizona.
What’s at stake today is simple: who writes our laws — the people, or one man?
Tomorrow I’ll be at the Supreme Court for arguments on Trump's global trade war.
At stake? Whether the President can abuse his emergency powers to impose tariffs without Congressional approval.
I'll be there to support checks and balances.
Sky Harbor flights were delayed this morning because of Air Traffic Controller shortages.
Our essential airport staff are still working without pay. Republicans should come back to Washington to help us strike a deal to end this shutdown now.
Trump has been ordered by multiple courts to spend SNAP contingency funds on food assistance this month.
He is openly defying these court orders.
His action is both illegal and despicable.
Tonight's elections in AZ-04 include:
— Arizona statewide Prop 409
— Chandler charter amendments & public safety bond
— Mesa Councilmember Election
— Chandler Unified School District Bond

From school funding to city government, local elections make a big difference.
This #ElectionDay, local elections and propositions are on the ballot — show up tonight, be heard, and encourage a neighbor to do the same.
Proud to help open the new 81 Asian Bistro location in Chandler, where owner David Chiang is serving up authentic and delicious Taiwanese flavors.
For those in the know, the East Valley is a destination for Asian food in AZ — and locally-owned, family-run businesses are at the heart of that.
Either Trump is lying or he doesn't know the cost of his tariffs.
For those of us who do our own shopping, we've seen prices soar this past year. Bacon is up 7%. Beef & veal are up 14%. Coffee is up almost 19%.
The receipts don't lie — Trump should end this reckless trade war.
I joined 55 of my colleagues calling on the administration to reverse this dangerous decision.

We cannot allow powerful American weapons to get into the hands of cartels, terrorists, and traffickers.
The Commerce Department's decision to eliminate firearm export safeguards makes it more dangerous for travelers and for our military and law enforcement operating overseas.
Punishing U.S. manufacturers and their employees is hardly putting America first.
FALCO is an incredible Chandler-based aerospace, defense, & automotive manufacturer. At my visit last week, their leadership told me Trump's 50% tariff on aluminum is crushing the business.
From screws and pipes to cabinets and drywall, tariffs are driving up construction prices, adding more than $10,000 in added costs to a typical home.
Trump should end his disastrous trade war and work with Democrats to end the housing crisis.
We can both secure our borders & follow refugee laws.
Tens of thousands of approved refugees, including many of our Afghan allies, are now stuck in limbo with Trump illegally capping admissions at 7,500 p/yr.
Many of these people are trying to enter the right way — we shouldn’t abandon them now.
Republicans have been MIA for over 6 weeks. They aren’t just stopping us from saving health care, they’re blocking progress on key bipartisan bills that set
🌾 Farm and agriculture policy
🚗 Highway and rail funding
🌊 Flood insurance coverage
Speaker Johnson must bring us back now.
The Rhode Island District Court was clear in its decision Friday: It is illegal for Trump to withhold SNAP nutrition funding.
Trump must obey the court order without delay to ensure the 900,000 Arizonans using SNAP get the nutrition assistance they need.
