I want to talk about the bombshell reporting in the New York Times about the Trump admin’s coverup of the Epstein files.
They met in the situation room - not to address a national security issue but to do all they could to ensure Trump and his friends don’t face the accountability they deserve.

Americans have been clear. They want states to be running their elections, and they want guardrails on ICE.
Yet again, we have the president and his Republican allies in Congress not listening to the American people.

Today, I led the @housedemocrats.bsky.social in wearing orange to honor Hadiya Pendleton and every life stolen by gun violence. Orange was Hadiya's favorite color, and now, it's a bright beacon for gun violence awareness.
We owe survivors more than thoughts & prayers. We owe them action.
It’s clear by this point that Trump lives in a golden bubble.
He only watches his favorite cable news shows, his team tells him what he wants to hear, he has more money than he knows what to do with, and he certainly isn’t speaking with everyday Americans.
There's no other explanation for this.
Pursuing a more progressive tax system is a start, but it’s not the end when it comes to ensuring the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share.
We need to be taxing wealth.
The accusations against the @splcenter.org are absurd.
This THIRD hearing on the topic was clearly part of a broader effort built on a pathetic, blind loyalty to Donald Trump.
For decades, @demwomencaucus.bsky.social has participated in a wreath laying at Arlington National Cemetery to honor women veterans. The Trump admin called it a “diversity event” and canceled it this year.
Well, we held our own event today. We'll ALWAYS honor women who serve our country.
Is this a surprise? No, it’s not.
Do we know who’s responsible? Yes, we do.
It’s sad that we know to expect this. Real Americans are literally paying the price for Trump’s policies – and folks just can’t make ends meet.
Yet again, Trump has pardoned a former Republican Congressman who was convicted by a jury of his peers of insider trading.
It’s the corrupt protecting the corrupt.
It just drives home why we need to act now to give people protections against unauthorized AI replicas of their name and likeness. Let’s start by passing my NO FAKES Act. (2/2)
A political opponent recently posted a deepfake video of me on social media. It was generated using AI and fabricated my voice and image to put words in my mouth. While it represents a new - and dangerous - low, it was not unpredictable. (1/2)
While families struggle to afford housing, health care, and groceries, Republicans just passed a bill to send $70B more to ICE and Border Patrol.
I voted no.
Todd Blanche has already shown himself to be a disgrace to our nation’s justice system.
He has no right being our attorney general.
For as long as he’s been at the DOJ, Todd Blanche has proven that he’s more than happy to corrupt our justice system on behalf of one man - and cover up the crimes of many in the Epstein files.
It’s no surprise that Trump wants his “former” personal attorney as OUR attorney general.
This week, Republicans are going to make us vote on their awful reconciliation bill.
Here's what it does:
• Give $70B MORE to ICE and Border Patrol with no oversight
Here's what it doesn't do:
• Stop Trump's insurrectionist slush fund
• Literally anything to lower your costs
As the chair of the @usprogressives.bsky.social End Corporate Greed Task Force, I was grateful to participate in a panel on taxing billionaires this weekend at @netrootsnation.bsky.social.
Thanks to my fellow panelists for a great conversation and to the folks in our audience for joining.
This #WearOrange Weekend, I’ve been proud to join folks across the country in honoring survivors, remembering those we’ve lost, and recommitting to the work ahead to end gun violence.
Today at @netrootsnation.bsky.social, @frost.house.gov and I joined @taxgreed.bsky.social and top advocates for a discussion on the need for billionaires to pay their fair share in our country.
We know that financial power turns into political power - it’s time to level the playing field.
In Vermont, we took common sense actions to combat gun violence.
Now, across the country, we must do everything we can to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people while also addressing the root causes of this crisis holistically.
This morning, on National Gun Violence Awareness Day, I joined @mcbath.house.gov and my colleagues on @democrats-judiciary.house.gov for a critical conversation on gun violence prevention.
We owe it to our communities to meet this crisis with the urgency it deserves.
