Little that Trump has done in the first 14 days of his administration has addressed the real and painful issues facing this country — and that's by design.
They want to know how their lives will be improved by firing the heads of the FAA, FBI, and CFPB, removing everyone with expertise and institutional know-how whose job was to protect every American, regardless of party.
Good questions, all. And the answer is they won't.
They want to know how their lives will be improved by President Trump giving Elon Musk the keys to the federal financial kingdom, slapping tariffs on our allies, releasing J6 criminals, demanding a name change for the Gulf of Mexico, or removing security details from Trump's "enemies."
There's been a massive surge in calls and emails to my office. People are scared. People are angry. People are bewildered. 🧵
Thanks to President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo for giving America an extra 30 days to try to pump the brakes on President Trump's irrational and unworkable tariffs. www.wsj.com/opinion/dona...
President Trump's tariffs will hurt every level of our economy. If you're worried about paying more and getting less, call the White House and let President Trump know. Call 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414.
Answer: Mexico
I'll always support our small businesses, especially as they navigate the rising costs of goods due to President Trump's pending blanket tariffs on products from Canada and Mexico.
Tariffs will hurt small business owners and raise the costs of everything — including fruit for Juice Pod's smoothies.
Question: Where do most strawberries bought in the U.S. in February come from?
Welcome to the community, the Juice Pod! On Saturday, this juice bar and cafe opened on Penn Ave in West Reading. I met with owner John and his son Jadon to learn more about their business.
I am furious. If you're also upset about this, call the White House and let President Trump know. Call 202-456-1111 or 202-456-1414.
I'm all for reducing fraud and waste but this is not that.
These intrusions by a South African billionaire and his posse of hackers are another way that the Trump Administration can unconstitutionally stop the distribution of federal funds that millions rely on and that Congress authorized.
Why is Elon Musk strong-arming federal employees to get access to our federal payment system, where all of our information is stored?
This system is responsible for processing trillions of dollars in payments every year, including for Social Security and Medicare — both wants to eliminate.
My fellow female vets (@repsherrill.bsky.social & Rep. Goodlander) & I are calling on Sec. Hegseth to continue to reimburse travel costs for service women seeking reproductive care.
Supporting the health of our service members is crucial to our national security. houlahan.house.gov/news/documen...
We are still collecting valentines for veterans, please drop off completed cards at my Reading or West Chester Office! 💌
-Siding with President Trump’s funder Elon Musk in the SpaceX feud with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), resulting in the FAA Director's resignation.
To be continued next week...
-The illegal and unconstitutional freezing of federal funding for critically important government and community organizations nationwide.
-Silencing the CDC and ordering it to stop communications with the public — close on the heels of the first confirmed human death from avian flu in the US.
Law and Order: Episode 2
None of these actions make our country safer or citizens more prosperous, but here are just a few things the administration delivered this week:
-The illegal firing of 18 of our nation’s nonpartisan Inspectors General (IGs) who root out fraud, waste, and abuse.
Tax season has officially started – and there’s a better way to do your taxes this year! PA now offers direct file, a simple, secure, & FREE tool to file your federal and state tax returns.
Go to directfile.irs.gov to see if you are eligible & save time and money this tax season. File by April 15.
I trust the experienced civil servants at the NTSB and FAA to do the same. Grateful for the first responders who always rush in to help.
I grieve for the families and friends of the 67 souls lost in the collision last night at Reagan National. My colleagues and I on
@democrats-armedservices.house.gov are working to learn the facts and to prevent something like this from happening again.
Even then, it'll still be unconstitutional and deeply harmful to our community. I will keep fighting to stop the freeze.
